Why couldn’t Davis knock out Gamboa like Crawford did?

  1. Crawford has more power/is better

  2. Gamboa worked on his punch resistance

    So Gamboa on one leg went nearly twelve rounds with “Tank” Davis as well as twelve with Devin “Gmail” Haney. Crawford knocked him out in the ninth after slapping him around and knocking him down to the canvas a few times.

    Which is more likely.... did Gamboa develop his chin through neck muscle exercises and whatnot, or did Crawford have more power than “Tank” who has had his entire career built around his power.

    crawfords on a whole different level to davis. hes also bigger, he was weighing in heavy at lightweight, i reckon 145-150lbs, hes more accurate, he sets more traps and hes more active. davis does hit hard and i rate him but hes gonna get outboxed and outworked a few times in his career.

    Perfectly said.
    Bud is a fantastic finisher and he landed the kitchen sink on Gamboa prior to the stoppage.

    Gamboa was also clearly willing to trade with Crawford and didn’t back down. With Davis he accepted his fate

    Crawford weighed 152 against Gamboa, Twink was 146. But Crawford is more a natural 147 who still looks very lean walking around at 170 and he had a ridiculous 9'' reach advantage on Gamboa too

    Gamboa was doing everything to make sure he didn't feel that torn Achilles pain again, the result was he was always balanced on his feet so no easy KDs.

    Still voted for Crawford's power though because that difference is larger.

    You know who was also a monster puncher at 130/135lbs? Adrien Broner. Sooner or later Tank Davis is going to realize in order to be a true PPV star, he has to step foot into welterweight, like how Adrien Broner tried. And that's when he will get exposed just like Broner was.
