Kell sounding confident but it will be 3 and a half years since he had to make 147, a longtime especially someone nearing there mid thirties. I see this being a great competitive fight for 4 or five rounds , but see Kell fading and possibly being stopped late.

Massacre.......pay day simple as. Another has been thinking he’s still a world beater but history tells you it never works. Quit with your health intact and go get a job.

Definitely a stoppage this. I think it’s going to really dawn on Brook a few rounds in that he hasn’t got it anymore. Crawford will be switch hitting, and working Brook’s weight drained body. Crawford really is an exceptional fighter and even Brook in his prime wouldn’t be able to handle him imo. He’s stopped his last 6 opponents and this will be the 7th.

It’s this weekend, yes! Can’t wait for this!

I agree, brook will have some success early on but I see crawford getting his rhythm going mid rounds and another possible eye injury stoppage

It's amazing to think Crawford is only half a year younger than Brook. But it just shows how you can become shop worn if you don't pick the right fights or live the life outside the ring. Crawford is so much fresher, I don't think even a peak Brook could beat Bud. He might have given him a good fight, but not this version of Brook. Hopefully, he gives a good account of himself, earns some retirement money and hangs them up in good health.

Kell looks like he's been on a Friday night to Monday morning bender, he should never be fighting at that weight, is it a British thing to keep on fighting at weights that involve killing yourself to do so? It really seems like it these days.

Brook is fine at the weight, he will rehydrate after.

He has been in camp for over 6 months, he is in the best shape of his life.

I reckon Brook will take an absolute pasting for four or five rounds and get stopped. I honestly don't see how Brook can healthily boil himself down to 147 anymore.

He looks ill, this weight cutting will give him more of a beating than Crawford will.

He also looks like he has aged, maybe the weight cut but either way he doesn't look good a week out.

The no hydration clause works in brooks favour. Interested to see if brook has been training for the past 6 months, if so he shouldn’t have a problem making weight. I have my doubts though

It’s just not healthy at all. I sort of get it if you are still able to dehydrate the day before to make the weight...but to spend months eating less than your daily recommended calorie intake so you stay at what is an unhealthy weight for your body is just madness. The effects that must have could be long term.

Alot of people saying that Brook is going to get massacred etc, haven't really got a clue in my opinion. I don't hear much technical analysis just nonsense around 'cash grab' etc. Brook has been in camp constantly for 6 months, weight won't be an issue, especially as there is no rehydration clause - this is huge as well. He's going to outweigh Crawford by 10 real pounds on the night. The people closest to Brook and all the noises from the camp are that he is in the best shape of his life. Brook is a world class fighter, his jab, understanding of range and shot selection can give anyone issues. Obviously Crawford has to be respected and he may be just too good. Personally I think this has some of the hallmarks of a cherry pick gone wrong.

Brook has grown up alot in my opinion. He was on the Bunce and Costello podcast at the turn of the year and he said he was going to be fully disciplined and he didn't want to have any regrets when he retired. By all accounts he's been living the life the last year. I think early on this will be really cagey. I can't remember anyone outboxing Brook early at all in fights - his problems have typically come down the stretch (mainly due to weight or just bad conditioning). I think he could be very competitive early and then the million dollar question is whether he can last as Crawford makes adjustments. I would be surprised if this was very competitive for a large portion of the fight.

In terms of the cash grab factor - I don't buy it. Brooks doesn't want to waste time - if he stuck with Hearn he'd be fighting Ted Cheeseman on the AJ undercard at 154. The trainer situation is not ideal but Ingle didn't want to travel and they have split before. Personally I think Brook has been around the block enough to understand what he has to do in the ring as long as his condition is right.
