Often times slick, technical boxers are accused of running. While there are some cases of this, often times it's just exaggerated out of proportion, as some people don't know the difference between boxing & running. Give your own examples of fights where there was boxing & fights where there was running. Boxing Ali/Liston Young/Foreman Whitaker/Chavez Running Camacho/Rosario L Smith/Chavez Lara/Canelo
Fights which involve running for me are Taylor vs Pedroza, Camacho vs Pedroza, Morrison vs Foreman &c.
Well I've never cared for the term 'running' and cant think of too many fights where you can actually say that... By contrast haters would love to call Floyd a runner, despite him rope a doping many of his opponents, but yet those same people would say after the Usyk Chisora fight that Usyk has a 'highly technical style that isn't appreciated by low IQ fans' despite Usyk looking like a track and field star in that fight. Look, bottom line is you are given the entire ring with which to handle your business. Theres nowhere to 'run' to between the ropes, and if your opponent cant catch you that is 100% on them
Morrison landed far more shots than George did and wasn`t even moving that fast, he clearly won it`s just that Foreman was so slow by that stage.
Lara threw more 1-2`s than Young did and threw more rear hand shots than Young who for the most part wasn`t really throwing his rear hand, he just jabbed at space keeping Foreman off, he really didn`t land that much and might not have landed more than Lara did v Canelo.
Hector Camacho pre Rosario = boxing Hector Camacho post Rosario = running Okay a slight exaggeration. Camacho v. Limon and Ramirez and part of the Rosario fight= boxing Camacho v. Boza, Chavez, Delahoya and Trinidad = running
