Beating Perez twice and avenging losses to both of Japans greatest fighters Harada and Ebihara is pretty damn impressive.

I thought Harada beat him that time, actually.

Prevailing sentiment is that, while close, he probably should’ve lost the rematches to Harada and Ebihara, too. I don’t recall scoring the Harada rematch but I was very impressed with Pone’s cojones and it seemed like a legit either way type affair. I’m sure I’ll score it at some point.

The copy of the Ebihara rematch was missing a couple rounds, I think. I recall the rounds I watched being clear in favor of Ebihara. 3-4 points ahead. Alas, 2 missing rounds could potentially tighten the fight up to the point that it could be argued either way. Anyone know what’s the deal with a full copy?

Anyways, major adversity points to Kingpetch for coming back so strongly from the initial encounters. Not many could or would be able to respond like that.

Seen bits and pieces of the Perez fights. Probably gonna keep them on hold until I come across some quality copies. Heard the first fight was controversial, too.

Then, who is? Some great fighters from Thailand other than Pone Kingpetch include Khaosai Galaxy, Sot Chitalada, Pongsaklek Wonjongkam, Chartchai Choinoi.

Chionoi, I think. He is huge underrated in this forum, unfortunately. 3x champ with rich resume (Torres, Hanagata, Burruni, Mcgowan, Villacampo, Chartvanchai, Seki). And he avenged many key loses

Anyone willing to put together an all-time top 10 from Thailand?

I honestly don't think it's clear who the greatest ever boxer is from there.

Kingpetch didn’t deserve wins in Harada and Ebihara rematches. Did you watch these Fights?

History books will show he won and that's all that matters.

Harada scores two knockdowns and it wasn't oficially counted. Ebi's win in rematch was even more obvious. I Dont care about history books. I watch the fight and know about context.
