To my mind this is a really intriguing matchup, both southpaws, both a little on the smaller side, very quick, good movement, excellent ring iq. I think Usyk outworks Ibragimov but I see Iggy giving him some real problems similar to Briedis. Anyone care to break this one down in greater detail?

I loved Ibragimov way more as a fighter, but my head says Usyk 8/10 fights.

Ibragimov would have to maul to have a chance. The slick stuff wouldn’t work on Usyk.

I’d forgotten about ibraghimov. He always looked like some average dad to me. I found it funny when he fought klitschko. I need to watch that fight again

I haven't forgotten Sultan. For this era a small HW but at his peak was fast and beat some big HWs. Wlad was just too big for him.

I think he gives Usyk a tough fight and maybe a slight underdog. Sultan would've been a top contender in the new SCW division (gonna take me a while to refer to it as Bridger) and would not surprise me if he won a belt. Not doubt would compete w/Usyk, Hunter, and other SCWs.

Damn, it's been a long time since I saw Sultan vs. Lance. Didn't remember Sultan looking that much smaller than Lance. It looks like fighters from two different weight divisions. Some will say, well the smaller guy won. That's only b/c Iggy had more speed/ skill. When he fought Wlad it wasn't close. That's why they needed a CW division a generation ago and now it's time for a SCW division.

He'd have to go toe to toe minus the size advantage Wlad enjoyed. Would be a scrap.

Uysk via work rate. Sultan was a good fighter and a guy that I really thought had a shot at beating Vlad. I was way wrong on that one.

Interesting match up. Iggy could punch like a mule and was fast and skillful. I remember when the casuals tried to lock me in an insane asylum for picking Iggy to spark the Tuscaloser out  Of course I would've been proven 100% right again if time could magically converge for them to cross paths with each other.

I'll pick Usyk, but Ibragimov had fast hands, and power. Tough, tough fight.

Even money. Iggy, a southpaw himself has quick feet and hands and real heavyweight power.
