Just seen fitzgerald has vacated his british title with no explanation.

I heard on the grapevine scott went to jail for battering someone. Nothing has been said officially by anyone at mismatchroom or sky.

Rematchroom are being proper quiet about it. They are engaging in a cover up and when scott gets out they will have him back fighting and say he had covid or was injured.

Scott is in strangeways not training camp

Someone on hear alleged he was in trouble for something and it being fairly major. Wouldn't surprise me he comes across as someone you wouldn't want to rub up the wrong way no matter who you were.

Afaik Scott is out now. I'm sure I've seen or heard of him back in training. Not 100% tho.
He defo did get in some trouble at the beginning of lockdown and hearnbhad him put up somewhere down London to keep him out of the way. Iirc he had an altercation with his X and her brother.
He was locked up for it but whether he went to court or not, I couldn't say.
Hopefully he gets himself together and comes back one day and reclaims the british

He was remanded for a few months for watever he did don’t quote me but he allegedly attacked his ex another woman and maybe another man ?

he was then released awaiting the court case and I’m pretty sure he is still waiting for his day in court. If he has kept out of trouble since the release I doubt he goes back to prison. But who knows ?

Scott is back in training, plenty interviews recently with his coaches and stuff on instagram. Did get in bother from what I heard though, no real jail time though.

It's so frustrating because it's clear from the Fowler fight he has ability. He is still only 28 so has time to get himself together but risks being frozen out a bit now he's vacated.

If he sorts himself out no doubt Matchroom will offer him 'redemption' via a Fowler rematch with every possible factor weighted in Fowler's favour.

Annoyingly he's easily the most likeable of his generation of domestic boxers at his weight so it's such a waste that he's messing things up for himself. Fowler is nauseating and Cheeseman is a bit boring. Keiron Conway hasn't got much of a profile yet although looks a decent prospect. Fitzgerald could've been quite a popular fighter and already has that 'football fan' following that brings crowds to live events.

Fitzgerald was charged with 3 counts of assault against a woman aged 21, a woman aged 42 and a man aged 23.

Are we just going to gloss over that? He allegedly assaulted 2 women.

If he is found guilty then I hope the piece of crap gets seriously damaged in the ring, I don't tolerate that sort of stuff, ZERO TOLERANCE.

Listen here Johnny Nelson, I'd rather you use the C word than call me Tony Bellew, that was deeply insulting.

I said "allegedly" and said "if convicted", What facts are there that will change what I said? ALLEGEDLY AND IF.

I stand by what I said.l If a professional boxer is convicted of physically assaulting two women, then screw him, I couldn't give a toss about reasons, I would hope he gets served up.

If you know the facts that change that, let me know...

Scott is back in training as said above.

People ought to reign in their thoughts until the truth - either way - fully, one day, emerges.

    Pitchforks and Fires ain't cool.

Yeah, he’s a bad person, and we shouldn’t ignore that.

Does the Fowler win exonerate him of all wrong doing for the rest of his life?

    I mean...MAYBE...

Thinking back I think there were the assault charges and then an allegation of witness intimidation, which courts don't look kindly on. If he's served his time then he should be free to pursue his career as fans are free to watch, or not, according to their own judgement. Sadly for him he's unlikely to have the career that was looking so promising after the Fowler win. He'll keep a core following, but it will be difficult to attract a lot of casual support if that past of his keeps following him around.

Been hard not to respond to above but for legal reasons could not . Scott did spend a little time in prison but it was for braking bail conditions , he had been charged with assault but always claimed innocent and today in court he was cleared of all charges . Scott is back in training and will be fighting in the New Year
