similar situations to loma lopez , but kell brook seems to be getting thrown under the bus here cos hes not fighting with matchroom, and this fight is severely going under the radar . Before the porter ggg and spence fights i questioned brooks bottle he seemed to always dodge the big threats , and had seen him get buzzed by senchenko just before he kod him and thought chin might be issue , i think his chin has proven to be just fine , hes a big puncher and crawfords been put down by mean machine whos an unknown quantity , gamboa and even benavidez had moments , all smaller men than brook , the other narrative of being washed up might well be true , but for my money crawford is slightly on the slide , barely a year difference age wise and if ricky burns can go 12 surely brook can at least not be koed , which again is a decent price , i think kell has a genuine chance and cant believe the lack of support / hype , hope he beats crawford claims p4p status with casuals and fights khan and spence on bt ppv
Brook is a proud man abs a world class fighter he is backing himself which is to be expected but history tells you his chances are slim, so many factors against him here.
Skippy Burns went 12 rounds 6 years 6 months ago FFS - he managed it by doing the Hughie Fury skipping his way to a huge points defeat in what was a gutless defence of his title. The Indongo fight exactly the same. The Special Done Shell Brook will leave his career behind tomorrow evening. Bad eye damage, busted face and broken heart unfortunately - live on Premier Sports.
$2 million supposedly. A cash out I believe. To be honest Kell looks in great shape and I hope he pulls it off. I’ll be signing up to the peasant channel in anticipation but I can’t see it.
Nothing like Loma Lopez at all. Brook’s single career against a world level fighter was 6 years ago. He suffered two bad injuries against the other two world level fighters he fought. He’s past his best and looks like **** at the moment. It won’t be a demolition job but he gets stopped, probably in the 10th or later
Just watched the weigh in and kell looks in great Nick, full of energy eye of the tiger..hope he lands a devasting Benadryl brownie early doors!
The Toe tongue was the most active muscle in the history of boxing, convincing the PPV Mugths that a crippled man who last fought a pudding wearing a giant white nappy, was in the best shape ever. The Mugths bought it and the Banks of Haye and Bellew filled their boots.
Thrown under the bus ? I think if you decide not to pay a promoter (UK based) but are trying to sell the fight as a PPV in the UK then the hype will be severely limited.
Not sure how good Brook has been with his money but $2 mil doesn't scream cash out. Once that's converted to GBP, taxes are paid and his team are paid he will be taking home less than £1 mil. Still plenty of money but I don't think he took this as cash out. He believes he can win.
How good you have been with your money pal is the only thing you need to concern yourself with. Kell Brook’s accountant doesn’t know you exist.
