It's an illusion AJ's resume is better.

People just ignore that when Fury fought Johnson, Cunningham, Hammer, Chisora, they were contenders and most of these were eliminators. Because these guys all fought on, got old and became ''gatekeepers'', the narrative is they were always such level.

AJ's top wins are Wlad, Parker and Povetkin. Wlad and Povetkin were both around 40. Parker has done nothing since narrowing outpointing the blob. AJ's victory over obese partying blob by way of running is laughable to add as a credit. If AJ beats Pulev, there's another middle-age past prime guy that Wlad destroyed years ago. Oh, and AJ beat a far worse version of the Whyte who just got terminated by 40s club Povetkin.

Fury beat a younger and better Wlad as an impossible underdog, and an undefeated Wilder twice who'd been knocking everybody over. Better than AJ's top wins. His B-tier wins are better than AJ's also. Younger Johnson, Cunningham, Chisora even Hammer would have a good shot against green AJ if they could weather the early rounds. I would definitely pick Cunningham to outbox him and Chisora to grind him down.

Fury is the king until proven otherwise.

Hopefully we get Fury-Joshua in early 2021.

Jesus Christ...he lost to McDermott eleven years ago, and "drew" with Wilder in a fight that 85%-95% of the boxing community thinks he won after losing 100 pounds and kicking a coke habit. By the way, he beat them both cleanly later.

Can't argue against punching himself in the face, though. No context on that one.

I'm going w/the majority (so far) and I certainly don't always go w/the majority.

So I say Fury for now as AJ has one L on his record. I like both of them and don't understand why someone posted they're unlikeable.

Fury has more media love but AJs the better fighter.

We are kingless right now. I think Joshua is more accomplished and Fury is Lineal.

They need to fight. But Fury is mostly busy with top 23-50 types, see the problem?

I see AJ fighting a more aggressive fight, being on the front foot and taking the fight straight to him early, which he done in most of his fights with the exception Ruiz 2, Parker and the first few round against povetkin).

I see Fury attempting to box on the back foot and attempting to keep the distance and flick out that jab all night. Fury wont attempt to walk down AJ like he did with Wilder:

    - AJ can actually box off the back as shown in the Ruiz 2 and Parker fights and isnt helpless like Wilder is when he fighting of back foot.

    - Fury wont be able bully and out muscle AJ in the clinch like he did with Wilder due AJ physical strength.

    - AJ has better defence, footwork, accurate puncher, faster hands, more variety of punches and a better combination puncher than Wilder and basiclly a completely different level technically.

I just don't see Fury being successful in keeping AJ at bay or at distance with the that pawing jab for considerable amount of time. When AJ does close the distance, Fury wont be able to bully AJ in clinch like he does with others and I see AJ having great success with on inside when Fury attempts the clinch (AJs inside work is underated). As we have with Pjakic, cunningham and Flirtha, dont have to be a big puncher to hurt Fury and when AJ has a guy hurt he's good finisher.

Watching Anthony Joshua vs Ivan dychko really persuaded me to think that he's going to be furys toughest fight. Throughout the fight Aj was putting him under pressure and kept coming forward and in the end Aj was completely cancelling out the guys clinching by tearing him up on the inside causing dychko to fall back. Furys much better than dychko but Ajs gotten much better since then.

    A) What has that to do with what we are talking about?
    B) Fury has the best win of either in DETHRONING klitschko, and arguably the #2 win in Wilder.
    C) Fury has no actual loss.

    Fury.

He beat Klit is possibly the worst fight the world has ever seen. He would be 1-1 with Wilder if he didn't get the long count. Stop being such a fangirl. AJ has beaten more top fighters than Fury, until Fury beats him AJ is top.

    Joshua fans are so boring.

Imagine if AJ hadn't been exposed by Andy Ruiz. They'd be talking about AJ as one of the greats of all-time, haha!

Fury ends Klits 10year unbeaten record and he was the number 1 hw.
then stops wilders immense KO streak 2nd or 3rd best heavy at the time.

joshua is a great fighter but his stamina will let him down when he fights the gypsy king!
The Gypsy King stops him late!

Im not arguing that Fury wont beat AJ. But as it stands now AJ has beaten more top rated fighters.

Completely irrelevant. He did so much more cleanly than Joshua, and a better version. If you like barfighting, go to the bar.

You are one of 15 mental midgets in the world who believe this.

    Physician, heal thyself.

But Fury has beaten the better ones, which is more important.

Unless AJ beats him, Fury is top.
