It’s a very long shot for Kell but if is truly not weight weakened he has a chance .I see Crawford as favourite as he has less miles on clock but I am slightly mystified why he is regarded as a P4P great particularly at welter where for whatever reason he hasn’t fought a top welter ? He maybe the top dog but that can only be confirmed when he beats a few claimants of the mythical P4P crown.
The main thing is at least it’s being broadcast here. I’ll be getting up for it. Hope Brook can be somewhat competitive.
Slap it on record, the result will be the same. Brook will lose whether you watch it live or when you get up Sunday morning.
I don’t know enough about Terrence BUDDY Crawford to make an informed call here. Furthermore having recently re assessed my acute abilities to identify a shot fighter, I’m reluctant to write Brook off completely. Especially seeing the absolute ELITE shape he weighed in at. So let’s work with what I DO know: Crawford is relatively untested at 147, Brook is basically coming down in weight from 154. Brook should be comfortably the bigger man in there. I’m hearing NO rehydration clause, means Brook will likely be the biggest man Crawford has shared a ring with under the lights. Also the extra weight should bode well for Brooks engine into the second half of the fight. Despite being emphatically stopped twice, Brooks chin is legit. He ate flush shots from one of the hardest punching MIDDLEWEIGHTS in HISTORY and returned fire. Brook deciding to go toe to toe with prime GGG is one of the most awe inspiring moves I’ve ever seen from a British fighter. Brook was stopped on his feet when his orbital bone structure let him down. Same again vs Spence. Brook’s chin can be considered world class imo. Since both of Brook’s eye sockets are now reinforced with military grade titanium ORE plates, I’m going to assume his punch resistance won’t let him down early in this fight. Crawford is not considered a devastating puncher from what I can GLEAN so this fight is likely to go into the second half. So what happens then? I’m hearing BUDDY is a slow starter, somewhat Mayweather-ESQUE so Brook could be building a lead early using his intelligent footwork to land that jab and try to find a home for one or two of those freshly baked chocolate brownies. As Brook has already said, BUDDY’S switch hitting style won’t phase him one bit, bread and butter for an ingle fighter. DWYER the advisory gambler made some decent points that Brook’s best chance is likely going for it from the opening bell whilst BUDDY is taking his time to figure out his moves. I disagree, Brook is an intelligent fighter and imo is best served here opening behind his jab, using his footwork and hand speed to feel out BUDDY, test some angles, we might even see Brook go southpaw early on. Let BUDDY know he’s in there with a cerebral fighter. I’m going Crawford stoppage 10-12 with Brook leaving everything in the ring.
Would absolutely love it if Kell could do it Apologies if asked earlier in the thread but do we know what time the ring walk will be roughly?
I'll watch the Kash Farook fight on sky then go to bed and get back up for this. Think Kell has a chance in first 5 rounds to take Crawford out but after this it's only going one way.
I'm the same, but just in case she actually stays in bed until 6, I've set the fight to record. So it'll be peppa pig for me until 9 or so after the missus gets up. Really hoping for a brook win. Its a tall order though
Nor do I. I was referring to the fact that hes taken himself away from distractions of sheffield. Dom is by far the better man to have in the corner for Kell when he fights bud
