The best thing Dre ever did was retire so no one has to watch him foul, low blow and ram his head in for another bore fest fight. And if it was the old days of 15 round fights, Froch would have got to Ward and stopped him in the end. By round 11-12 ward was tired and Froch was connecting more cleanly!
British cope. Just enjoy your current crop of fighters and stop dwelling so negatively on the losses of your previous fighters. Do it for the sake of your mental health.
What was negative about what I said for you!? The fact your boy Dre was the most boring champ at smw in the last 20 years or that if the fight was 3 rounds longer Froch could have won!?
1. Ward was not totally gassed, he just took his foot off the pedal. The last few rounds were basically the only rounds where Froch landed a punch lmao. 2. Ward was the BEST SMW champ ever and his fight vs. Froch was hella exciting and one of the greatest displays of infighting, counter left-hooking, and hitting without getting hit in boxing history. 3. You realize that if the fight were scheduled for 15 rounds that Ward maybe wouldn't have fought at as high of a pace in the early and middle rounds as he did in their actual fight? And even if he did, he wasn't totally gassed, and so he would have just picked up a second wind!
I like Andre Ward and same with Virgil Hunter, together they were great. That being said, let's not go crazy. He was dominated by Kovalev in that first first. It wasn't close. One of the worst robberies I can remember. Ward was a very, very good 168lber. Wins over Froch, Kessler and Bad Chad Johnson were all memorable. I wish that Pavlik fight would have happened (cancelled because of Andre's promotional issues) Prime GGG challenging him at 168 is a great mythical matchup.
Maybe they are not historically notable. You definitely are not great or historically notable. Guys, sit here and post what you like. This forum is.
