Is it possible for Crawford to emerge from tomorrow night with any credit?

As for Brook, you can't get much credit for beating unranked fighters, who hasn't had a really good win for some six years.

With Pac, the reality is that he could lose what he still has left any day now. He is a small speedster with a looong and hard career nearing his mid 40's. For a win over him to really matter, he must come right off an impressive performance.

Porter is a true competitor, but he has already lost to Brook, Thurman and Spence, so only a comprehensive win by Crawford will lift him further. Thurman hasn't had a really convincing performance for years, so he'd need one to really be good win.

If Spence beats Garcia, there's no doubt that he has the best resume at WW of the current fighters next to Pac. Crawford would need really convincing wins over Brook and Spence or Thurman just to keep up.

Or Crawford and Spence can just fight each other so we can toss all the other crap and know the best in the sport is?

    Yep. That's what should happen.

I can understand why they both hunger for that money fight with Pac, but he's not going to face any of them without a fight in between so that would be at the end of next year at the earliest. So I hope that they start to talk with each other for a showdown assuming they win their upcoming fights, but it might be that they wait a while longer for Pac's next move. Hoping that he will have a fight some time early next year and try to get a meet with him after that.

Depending on how Brook looks, anywhere from "nah" to "some".

At best about the same as he gets for beating a past prime inactive Khan who had only fought twice in three years

No. If Crawford blows Brook out in the first 4 or 5 rounds, then it will be because Brook was drained from making Welterweight. If Crawford takes until the 10th or 11th round to take Brook out or Brook lasts the distance, then Bud couldn't dispose of a shot, weight drained fighter quickly and therefore can't really be all that.

Imo he was an elite talent when he beat Porter.

That was a hell of a long time ago now though.

I know what you mean, but that sentence needs rewording.

Pac's resume at ww is the best of those currently fighting at the weight.

Oscar (past prime), Cotto, Bradley, Clotty, Mosley, Thurman, Broner, Bradley, Marquez, Rios, Vargas.

Pac got credit for those wins and he deserved it to, Crawford won’t get as much credit for brook if he wins because he hasn’t been looking for the best fights available and he’s fighting a pretty inactive brook he’s not looking to enhance his resume he’s thinks he’s getting a by and Knows brook has enough of a fan base to bring numbers and viewing figures, it is going to be a much better fight than the Khan surrender Crawford is a talent and in a similar way he’s getting his career mismanaged like brook was

The same Morales who got schooled every single round against Raheem before Pacquiao beat him.

I think the obvious answer, clearly, is no.

This was as good as it could have, Brook started well, looked on top, Crawford turned it around and ended him.

And yeah, no sense of credit.

Spence or Garcia should be next.

Crawford looked good once he switched to southpaw. A bit surprising that Brook got so hurt from a jab, but he walked right into it and didn't see it coming.

Bud said he wants Pac next. No surprise really.
