Fair play to him. Doesn’t want to get punched in the head anymore when there’s plenty of paydays for him
This content is protected Just wants to be with his wife and kids , hope all the TV and Sly Sports crew leave him alone
Sincerely want to wish him all the best, but he’s retired so many times. Just a few weeks ago he’s sparring Usyk and looks in the best shape of his life. He’ll obviously be back.
How long before the "I love boxing too much, it wasn't the right time, I want to win the British title" post?
Cant blame him, hes young in boxing terms but taken a lot of punishment. Stole a living basically, very average British level fighter that made money more with his personality than his fists. Fair play to him, cant be bad retiring under 30 with a few quid in the bank.
Hopefully not, as he is an accident waiting to happen, but give it a few months and he will say he misses the sport.. If this really is the end though, fair play if he is leaving with some good money in the bank- we all love when fighters get out with their health and finances secure.
Got his houses to rent out, a nice steady income stream right there. Done the correct thing. Enjoy retirement.
Highly doubt he has enough to retire, a flat in Doncaster doesn't exactly bring in mega money every month in rent. I assume he gets some sort of gig behind the scenes managing or training, he's already managing a couple of fighters I think.
Funny how Hearn put out a tweet yesterday with him on the poster for the Benn undercard for next week. I’m with the majority that I expect we’ll see him again in a ring, he’s done this so many times previously he just seems a complete attention seeker although that might be a bit harsh. He’s earnt a lot more from boxing than he should with his ability so fair play to him and happy retirement
