I don't think anyone on here could legitimately say that punch would have put the 2014 version of Brook that beat Porter on ***** Street. His chin has gone. Timing or not, you don't go 5 rounds with Golovkin and 11 with Spence if your chin is that bad.
https://ibb.co/68mYjmH Brook looked like a prisoner of war after the weigh-in, more so than ever. Absolutely ripped to shreds. And people on this forum think that boxers are not on the hot sauce. His hormones would have been completely out of whack if he wasn't, testosterone level would be tanking massively. He is comparable there to Chris Froome or prime Lance Armstrong, perhaps even more so. His skull literally sticking out through his skin. I bet the plantar fat pad on his feet had withered away to nothing. Crazy conditioning.
This is what happens when a shot 33 year old who has to kill himself to make 147 gets countered with a shot he doesn't see Very lucky Crawford didn't land something major after and the ref did a solid solid job. The standing count was perfect. Some would argue it gives him some time to get his senses back but eh.
Jab Edit.. Actually your right that's not a jab.. It looks more like when you playfully bop someone on the nose... Looks like it has as much force in it as an old man's last wank...lol
Absolutely foolish of Brook to move down in weight again. That is horrendous, like Ashita No Joe levels of weight cutting. How did he expect to be effective?
Reminded of me of the first KD in Pacquiao Cotto. Well timed shot but shouldn’t be the beginning of the end
He didn’t look that bad imo. He was very lucid too and strong at the weigh in. Compare it to Canelo who could barely stand. Crawford has looked worse before, Mcgregor etc. Although I get they’re younger. He didn’t look drained in the fight, he looked passed prime, like he did vs Deluca, but he was still strong and reactive. Guys that are drained usually look very lethargic. And he didn’t get tapped on the head and go into a dance like is usually with drained guys who don’t have sufficient fluid in the brain, his entire head was turned. He got caught by surprise while relaxed.
the ref didnt split them too quick. The ref followed the rules. Since brook had gone to the ground if not for the ropes, the referee considered it a KD and made a count of 10. Perfect. Exactly what it needs to be done in this situation. EDIT: this is not a standing count. This is a legit KD.
Is this is a joke? KO of the year. No way. Brook is shot. Got caught out of position and took a punch he would never have been caught with a few years ago. As his reflexes are gone. Then is in a daze and done. Time to call it a day Kell.
Regarding the ko of the year, it must be a joke. I love the tank vs LSC ko btw. For me that's the ko of the year.
