Dave Allen has retired from professional boxing.

I personally thought he could have beat lovejoy and made a few more £ but looks like it’s over.

He'll be retired for a few months - back slugging it out against Kash Ali next year.

He has retired a handful of times before.

There was no love or joy in professional boxing for him anymore.

    Our loss is Asda's gain.

I'm guessing he's gone into a depressive episode because he trained hard with Usyk and then his fight with Hammer then the other guy fell through. It was a perfect storm to send Dave into the dark depths of rhino existence.

I'll take this with a pinch of salt for npw but best of luck to him either way. How much money do you reckon he's earnt over his career?

Early on his career he didn´t make much at all. He has had some sponsorships here and there(nothing noteworthy).
Supposedly he got 10k for Luis Ortiz, after all the expenses.
He has had 13 fights since, some rather high profile.

I know he has bought a place for himself, so he had done rather well I would say.
*He also had/has a gambling addiction. So who the **** knows what state his financials are in. But for someone on his level, I am pretty confident that he has made good money.

Dave Allen is extremely unstable and very bad with money.

I would be shocked if he didnt return to the ring at some point. Unless fans are not allowed in to live boxing for 2 years+ and he gets very very fat, then there is the possibility I guess.

Covid-19 and the banning of fans from live boxing, is the only thing that makes his retirement a possibility.
