Bob Arum is supposed to be the promoter. Terence Crawford's job is to fight, which he does very well. All Arum has to do is let Bud fight good welterweights like Spence and the revenue will flow.

The truth is, miserly old Arum has done a poor job with many of his boxers.

 

If only this were true. In Boxing fans buy into more than just that fighters technical ability, ask Floyd Mayweather, Ricky Hatton and everyone else.

The "Joker" also seems to forget that when Crawford went to 147 Papa Porter told Crawford to "get a belt" before he talked about fighting his son. No Papa Porter has changed his tune because Crawford has a belt and Shawn does not. If anyone in PBC thought they had someone to beat Crawford they would make the fight. PBC is not risking one of their belts to fight Crawford. Spence says "let the fight marinate" and Danny Garcia turned down 3 million to fight Crawford. MAKE THE BLEEPING FIGHT SPENCE. Grow a pair

im not giving spence a pass either. he has as much sway in what happens as bud does. but i dont feel its ok to throw it all on arum or haymon. these dudes know whats up, excuses dont build resume.

 

I think it's pretty fair to blame the promoters. I highly doubt either fighter is afraid of the other.

FOR PROMOTING THE FIGHT.

The promoter complaining about the fighter not promoting the fight is like the fighter complaining about the promoter not koing his rival.

PROMOTERS ARE PAID TO PROMOTE.

If you cant do good with crawford, then you do not belong to this business, easy as that. I think that it's obvious that Arum belongs to this business, so for me it's obvious that he's lying and lowballing crawford to break his anus in the next contract. Crawford would do well if he sends a promoter like that to hell.

Edit: of course a fighter can help to promote the fight, as well as the promoter can help the fighter to get the sideA vs another promoter's fighter and the best conditions for the victory. But the promoter does NOT fight the fight. And fighter does not promote the fight. If crawford needs to promote his own fights, then he must promote his own fights. Easy as that, the promoter should be fired. Exactly as mayweather did.
