Not a bad couple of fights that. Lartey now being brought in as some kinda lower leagues gatekeeper. Allen V Wardley if Fabio gets past him?
Weirdly looking forward to this. It will be interesting to see where Wardley is up to, whether Little just turns up to get knocked over or whether he actually pulls his finger out and deals with the current hype job. Benn vs Formella is a fun fight, too.
A weird bunch of fights. I’m only really interested in seeing Benn vs formella which should be competitive
Would have much preferred Babic v Wardley. If it was that underneath the main event it would really be a very competitive couple of fights. Both home heavyweights will win comfortably.
Spoke to Fab this morning, hoping he’s going to do a number on Lartley. Great step up opponent especially after he extended Gorman.
Both are signed to Whyte’s management so wasn’t an option. The spars between the two have been exciting though. Babic spars exactly as he fights
For someone with no amateur pedigree, just some white collar he’s got bundles of ability and is learning fast. Has been used in camp by Klitschko, Joyce, Fury, Whyte and Usyk etc
Chris Billam Smith vs Deion Jumah for the Commonwealth/English and vacant British CW belts was the best fight on this card, unfortunately postponed because Deion had to have eye surgery on a previous injury. With that and the main event gone (not PPV anymore at least) it's now a little underwhelming. Benn vs Formella is now probably the only really interesting fight. I think Babic is a bit of a Matchroom gimmick. Would he last more than 2 rounds against Joyce or Dubois? I'm skeptical.
I doubt Babic will be able to fight at Heavyweight soon unless he goes on the Tom Little diet plan, he weighed in like a Cruiser when he fought big Shawndell, who himself weighed under 14 stone on the night, so how the hell is he going to skip the Bridgerweight? Clever matching for Conor, gets him going up a level in a fight that he should win, we all want to see him in with the Albanian though and preferably before Josh Kelly has given him his first L.
