    It's said Muhammad Ali is the most famous boxer in history. That also makes "The Greatest," of course, the most famous American boxer ever. Taking this concept, let's pick each other's brains and list only one name that is the most famous boxing name from a certain country. You can pick any nation you want; most famous need not necessarily mean greatest-ever. It can be a name that, for reasons good or bad, became his country's historically the most well-known fighter around the globe. Here are the nations I chose:
    Bulgaria: Pulev
    Canada: Langford
    Cuba: Stevenson
    Italy: Loi
    Poland: Golota

    I'm not sure about Langford, because he seems to have been consdiered more Bostonian than Canadian.

    Germany has to be Max Schmeling.

    New Zealand is probably Dan Creedon or Tua, but basically impossible to compare those two for fame really.
