Smith will be destroyed, he was awful in his last bout, really easy to hit.

I hope Canelo knocks him out of the ring.

One's gotto respect Canelo for taking this fight. Smith will ridiculously tower over him the way Charlo did over Bundrage, if not more. And Smith is not some tall guy with no muscles like the Fundora/W.Nelson/Mykal Fox type, he's got the bulk AND the pop. This is a harder fight for Canelo than fighting a shadow-of-his-former-self Kovalev. Let's go!

Can we reserve judgement before actual conditions like rehydration clauses are reveelaed? Canelos/team are cherrypickers.. If there's no rehydration clause we can safely say ODLH was the ***** giving Canelo bad rep

But Smith has had even LESS prep time than Kovalev did....

December 19th is only 4 weeks away.

Poor Smith will probably spend half the time losing weight.

Still, it's the fight he and Greedy Gallagher wanted so their wish has been granted.

Callum should refuse a rehydration clause. He's not Fielding, he's not Chavez Jr. He's a big name himself. He doesn't have to throw away a fight just to make some extra money. He's still young, didn't sustain much of a damage in his career so he's good to go for at least 5 more years. He doesn't have to sell his career for one payday. If he throws the fight by agreeing to a rehydration clause, he deserves to lose.

Boring fight. Canelo should win rather comfortably.

Just hoping Smith had/has enough prep time. 4 weeks away is pretty shady.

Exactly. I doubt Smith is even remotely prepared.

John Ryder, is a compact muscular southpaw with an excellent defense and an excellent inside game, and how that match played out will have zero bearing on how this one will play out. That being said, Canelo in theory should win this and by mid to late body shot KO. But Callum seems to have solid whiskers and is durable, and most importantly, massive... with a far longer reach, so that's not a gimme. Regardless the jab is key, and if he can keep Canelo behind it, keeping it pumping it out, keeping him at range and punish him every time he sneaks past it, it's a winnable fight for Mundo, if he fights the perfect fight. Canelo isn't usually eager to walk down opponents with make him pay for any possible mistake. While I'm not overly hopeful... there is a chance. So.... War Mundo!!!!!:ibutt:ibutt:ibutt
