Canelo Alvarez vs Callum Smith is set for December 19th

Smith has all the tools to win this fight but I just don't think he has the skill to use them. Like all Gallagher fighters, he has one career-long game plan which is basic AF. And yeah body shots will unravel it. And him....

 

Not having a lot of time to prepare is certainly a mitigating factor, could've made the fight for early January and it would've been much fairer.

 

I’m not a fan of guys moving up in weight and insisting on rehydration clauses. If you want to challenge a bigger guy for his belt, you shouldn’t be able to weight drain him. It’s different for a big guy challenging a smaller guy at a lower weight. Hope this fight doesn’t include any of Canelos usual diva clauses. The guy considered PFP best by many always seems to need an unfair advantage.

 

Any news about how much Canelo is being paid?
I bet it is less than $32 million.

 

How big is Clenelo compared to John Ryder? Ryder 5'9 and looks pretty solid.. I'm pretty sure Canelo is around 5'7 8 and is exaggerating his height. Still not sure whether Canelo will look as full as Ryder..

Then again he probably will as Canelo will probs slap as - 5lbs rehydration clause on Smith

He'll have known this fight has been in the works for AT LEAST a couple of weeks., so would have been training as such.

They were trying to get him out by the end of the year regardless of this fight.

He has had as much time as Canelo to prepare.

 

I see that. My point is to the poster lance . why was he calling for canelo to face smith when canelo was in negotiations with plant. If he knows the limited time smith would have. Now its happening and he complains again.

So know it's Canelo fault Smith isn't dedicated enough to be training even if there is no fight schedule? Canelo has been training and ready for anyone even since the virus started, you need to be determined and dedicated in order to make it in this sport

Even if your a$$ itches he is, especially when he beats Smith, plz tell me again who is your hero ggg fighting again so I can get a good laugh out loud and make my night as usual...

 

Smith has been keeping fit but it's tactical things he needs to work on for this fight. 4 weeks isn't ideal to nail them down. Plus he needs to acclimate to the timezone.

 

And if he doesn't you will be in here with pakkman making huge list of excuses.

 

I think he wanted Canelo to fight Smith under fair conditions (if I were to guess his intentions) such as having the standard 8/9 week camp for a big fight, no rehydration clauses or catchweights and perhaps not fighting in Vegas or Texas with rigged cards and dodgy refs.
