Smith has known this fight is likely for weeks. Hes known that hes on the list of Canelo opponents for months. If he hasnt kept himself in shape, then thats on him.
Fighters keep themselves in shape waiting on a call. And then they start their usual 8-10 week training camp. You're acting like a 3 week camp is normal.
As I said, he knew this fight was likely for at LEAST the past 2 weeks, probably more. Where are you getting 3 weeks from? Do you think he was just sitting at home eating pizza today when Eddie called out of the blue to tell him he has a fight in a month?
So you think Callum Smith mobilized his team, made arrangements for everything, started training hard and started sparring on the hopes that he would actually get the Clenelo fight? Okay, even if that is the case, it's 5 weeks. Traditional camps are 8-10 weeks.
You think he wouldnt?? If your promoter told you "It looks lke you're going to fight the biggest fight of your career, with the biggest money of your career in 6-7 weeks", you dont think he may have gotten his team together? His camp being with a trainer, at a gym in the next town over. You think its odd that Smith woulddo that, but expect us to believe that Canelo has been in a full camp throughout the time he was in legal proceedings with DAZN/GB and had no clue when he'd be fighting again?
Canelo should have fought that JOKER, PAKKUMAN! But as paranoid as an android as that PAKKUMAN guy is, he would have felt 3 weeks is insufficient enough time to pay the judges off! But in this case we get a real fight between an already in shape Callum Smith! Should be a REAL challenge for Canelo Alvarez.

Clenelo's been consistently working out, training, and sparring (he was doing work with Frankie Sanchez) through COVID-19. Not a full on camp, but you can bet your life that Clenelo is much further along in camp than Smith is. Clenelo knew his case was coming to a close and he knew his options and being the A-side allows him dictate when the fight happens. Traditional training camps are 8-10 weeks. Don't be thick. Use your damn brain.

Clenelo is the Catchweight King, imposes cripping rehydration clauses, uses stacked wraps, was caught using PEDs, and has been criticized by more than one fighter for offering a fight without giving enough time for a full 8-10 week training camp. Dumb ass.
