I think it could easily happen as a one-off, but I think it would be difficult for them to reign for long. The difference in weight and reach is too much.

To be fair, since Floyd Patterson lost to Liston in 1962, nearly 60 years, there have only been two lineal champs who were six feet or shorter. (Frazier and Tyson) It's not like lineal heavyweight champs under six feet have been the norm in most of our lifetimes.
