Isn't that just stating the obvious though?

At the stage Connor is at in his career, he will know that himself.... but getting that type of sparring is superb for his development.

Is it just me, or does Benn come across as unlikeable?

I dont think he has much confidence in himself at times, just watched after the weigh in when being interviewed for a minute. Basically saying how things don't bother him when it looks to me they clearly do.

Shouldn't read too much into it. I do feel he needs to step up after this fight, let's see how far this lad can go.

He's an odd character, seems to come across as trying too hard to be authentic. In reality he's grown up with huge wealth for his entire life so has had a very different existence to 99.9% of young men.

His father was authentic and obviously a gifted and popular fighter in his own right, must be very difficult to be in that shadow.

He is actually a nice young man but it's everything that goes with it, it's the privilege, like many have said before.. if he was called Conor Smith he wouldn't even be signed with Matchroom.

But I get what you mean, he does comes across a little contradictory, I don't think he knows who he is, is he Nigel's son or Conor Benn and his own man, he is really trying to be his own man but if nobody mentions his Dad then not many people are that interested.

I don’t mind conor but don’t get why he puts on that voice to try and sound like his dad. Makes me cringe a bit

Formella an outsider here at 2/1 despite having a deeper resume than Benn, has the market got this one wrong by backing the more popular fighter?

Only going off Formella’s resume, but it looks stronger than Benn’s whom I’ve never considered a true welter.

Young Benn ripe for a good KO and this Tough Teak Hamburg lad going the distance with Kitchen Porter leads me to think there is a decent chance here of the apple falling from the tree.

I'd take Formella at those odds. Benn should be an underdog going off past performances and at best be priced at evens, his price might even come in a bit more if the casuals keep lumping on up until the event.

Don’t forget what happened to Vazquez only the other month who comprehensively outboxed Ritson and only dropped a couple of rounds...he was completely shafted on the cards. It’s no wonder we see skewed odds like that which doesn’t reflect where both fighters are at...rather, it reflects where the fight is being held and that the BBBofC are officiating it.

A non puncher is fighting a Matchroom hype job, (who earlier in his career was gifted a draw) this is only going one way lads.

To be fair, the aussie boxer who fought Selby got a fair shake, probably due to the recent controversy.

It depends how Formella is boxing Benn. If he's 'stealing rounds' then I'd recommend backing him then trading out. In the past I'd even then put some of that green profit on the UK fighter to try get a bigger profit due to robbery scorecards.

If he was putting on a clinic I'd just let it run.

So it depends really how the fight is going and how the opponent is fighting. I'd still taking Formella at a good price then just follow my usual guidance.

For what it's worth, I used to trade on the BF platform and was one of the few who made money over the long term.
