People saying this is a good card. Nah. It’s just a little bit better than the usual tosh we’re served up. Joshua already set for life about 20x over only taking the 10 mill for this one? But he’s doing it for the fans of course.

And it should be illegal for people to be made to pay to watch Okolie.

Hearn is a cunning promoter. It's all part of the persona he has created on IfL. The "no context Hearn" stuff just amplified it. As you pointed out perfectly, he has mugged these fans into thinking he's one of the lads, get the beers in Koogz etc when in reality Hearn flies on a private jet to the Maldives while the "lads" fly for their all-inclusive in Tenerife on Ryanair. He doesn't care about any of them, in his eyes they are just another £25 into Matchroom's coffers. The most cringeworthy tweets are when the mugths @ Hearn into the tweet as if he's going to like it or retweet it.

In reality these mugths are just paying for the Hearn grandchildren's private school fees.

I said it in another thread recently but any time there's a PPV on, just put the £19.99 (or £25 in this case) into a savings account for yourself or your kids and just watch the fight anyway. During a global pandemic put yourself and your family first instead of Hearn's kids.

I said it creates Another £3.5m. As in the extra £5 adds that much additional revenue to the pot.

I hope AJ gets beat, just for the karma like. Unlikely, but possible.

I'm going to watch AJ vs Ruiz Jr 1 on YouTube instead, while stuffing my face with 25 quids worth of Pringles and beer.

AJ Vs A 40 year old

Okolie trying to hug somebody to death

Hughie Fury Vs Another 40 Year Old

£25, Waaaaahahahahahahahahaha, I am not even annoyed, I won't buy it, I just think it's hilarious, in a pandemic, people losing jobs, money tight and if you're already paying for Sky Sports it's just another kick in the teeth.

To quote the line from Joker.. "you get what you f'ing deserve".

And that's the truth, boxing fans have allowed this to happen by buying these bang average PPV cards, it's boxing fans fault, not Eddies or Sky's, if you are willing to buy Whyte Vs Povetkin, let's remember it was a shot to pieces Povetkin for £20 then you shouldn't be surprised when they turn around and start upping the price of an AJ card.

Can't wait for Fury Vs AJ, £49.95 anybody?

I'll give you 25 quid to not have to pump Crouch

The under card despite having some kind of name value is absolutely appalling as it stands

I never wish to see Okolie box again and i gave up on Hughie after he forgot to once again attack his opposition, which was against Povetkin

Then to add insult to injury those that buy it are rewarded with the most basic commentary and analysis possible. "Chisora is in the shape of his life", "Delboy is all wrong for Usyk", "Bellew is technically better than Usyk" - all designed to condition casuals into thinking that the MR underdog fighters have a chance. It's insulting really and doesn't actually help to improve the boxing knowledge of those paying for the PPV which might help them develop a deeper interest in the sport.

AJ versus Pulev was priced at £19.95 three years ago, when Joshua was undefeated and coming off the Wladimir fight and Pulev was 36 years old, not 39.

In the meantime, the average British person's disposable income has been greatly reduced. You can be sure, in 2020, more people have lost their jobs or working for less money than have enjoyed salary raises.
To the average punter, £19.95 today for televised boxing is not less than what £19.95 was for televised boxing in 2017.
And the fight hasn't got better.
But the price is £24.95 now.

    It's pure greed.

Hearn, SKY and Joshua are setting the bar for greed and money grubbing assault on the UK customer.
And BT and Fury will follow their lead.
Don't be surprised if those two fight at a PPV priced at £39.95 or £49.95. Plus a pot of Saudi Arab gold.
But don't hold your breath, they might string it out another 5 years (by which time, it could be priced at £99.95 !)

Hopefully, enough casuals will just sack fights like AJ-Pulev off in increasing numbers, and some semblance of value-for-money and reasonable pricing will return, and the whole PPV model will be downsized.

The Angling Society will be on here in large numbers on fight night - change your plan as you will be watching Tony Dosh PPV v Pudding Pulev. Make your presence known on the fight thread on fight night.
