For real, I think that I can punch on their level. Just talking pure power. I'm about the same size natural size as them. And I've had some amateur fights and I wasn't the biggest puncher, but there were fights where I was obviously the puncher in the ring too. Obviously I could never be as successful as them because of the skill disparity, I'm just talking about power. Because for a world class fighter there power actually was pathetic. I'd imagine a lot of the guys here who are natural MW's and up would punch harder than they do with 10 minutes of learning punch technique. I'm talking random dudes off their couch.
Would these guys beat all or almost all of us in a boxing match, despite many having more mass and power? Definitely Do many here hit harder as them? Definitely Power is mass, acceleration, velocity. Then I've seen that for some the technique behind punching comes naturally, others learn fast, and others (like Flintoff) never seem to learn. So, pretty sure there are many here with much more punching power, even without any proper training.
I have poor stamina, I can't box, defense isn't a strong suit, but I do know I'm good at three things, I have good timing, know how to throw a punch, and I'm very heavy handed. And I'm a Cruiserweight, so yeah... most likely. That being said, they'd beat everyone on this thread silly with one hand tied behind their backs.
NO. 100% sure. I trained with a pro who hit like a truck. This guy could tear my head off with a punch. He was a journeyman. When I saw him on tv he looked like the most pillow fisted soab in the business. Yet, it was more than enough to destroy me in a couple of rounds. If you think that you can punch as hard as malinaggi, you are crazy. The same if you think that you can take his punches with no problem. Unless you are pro too, ofc. Or at the very least elite level amateur, very elite.
Paulie vs Senchenko Hit a rock with a (light) hammer enough times it will crack Paulie probably hits 30% less hard than the hardest hitting man at his prime weight. These hardest hitting dudes would make you squirm & know you're in for a rough one with one well-placed punch.
Old boxing coach in army said the dig in my right hand was ridiculous... I'm a heavyweight though so it's to be expected.... I. Regards to everything else though I believe I'd get clowned lol
It's always nice to get told when you first start that you can hit and get told that you've already got the shoulder snap & form down well. The problem is it won't be an advantage for you for long. I gladly got out of boxing before I could progress to the more competitive stages. I remember breaking the nose of my opponent in my first spar. Kept telegraphing his right hand and kept walking into my straight left hand. I felt like one punch man. Funny thing is it shocked me more than him.
Agreed.. He used to shake his hand on the pads after I landed straight rights n my right hook was my money punch.. I thought I was just gonna walk through people... No good if you can't land it lol
