If you're average size man and you hit the bag and lift some weights and you think you hit harder than those two, you almost certainly don't in any way shape or form. If you're big, like at least 190 or 200+ pounds and in solid shape and hit the bag and lift weights, yeah you might well hit "heavier" but you still probably don't have the same overall "power". They are elite level professional, their "weak feather fist punches" are relative to pro and elite pro level. Like if a guy can run a best of 10.6 second 100 metres he's REALLY SLOW against the elite 100 metre runners but there are going to be very few people here who would ever come close to that, even if they rated themselves as fast.
Yes, I punched pads harder than Malinaggi in a kickbox session, Malinaggi has been taught the modern American amateur way of punching of pulling your punch back as soon as you throw it so you`re not open after punching.
Mark, cool out, dude. We know you spend 50% of your days playing Fortnite and the other 50% watching gay porn and making bad threads.
Mate I punche those pads and the instructor said I wweren`t hitting hard enough I punched harder but all the guys in there punched harder than me, Malinnaggi can`t punch at all.
Hmmmmm. Tough one. I have a bit of technique but I'm not the sharpest at this weight. Punching a moving target no? Punching a machine perhaps. I'm gonna sound ridiculous and you may laugh but when Paulie stunned eggington yet couldn't drop him I laughed my head off, I definitely would have dropped him no doubt. So for one punch power then yes! And then I'd be ready to lay, But they would still paddle my ass lol I'm not in fighting shape, years since I've been in true fighting shape.
Key is repetition and training of course. The more you do it the better you are. But for someone who dont do boxing yeah obviously they aren't hitting harder than Paulie.
Lifting weights? nah.. Prolly not you need hours on the speed ball, heavy bag and sparring. Not lifting weights. LOL thats for body builders.
This is completely true you need to have done some extensive training for a few years to have some sort built technique, power and delivery.
Obviously I haven't quite developed my man strength yet, but I have massive calves, a big back, weigh 20lbs more than both of them, as well as being able of dropping Matthew Hatton with a body shot (never been more proud of myself than that moment btw). I'm happy to tell people that I make Gerald McClellan look like Sven Ottke, but if the sensible folk of ESB (LOL) don't want to believe that, I'll have to settle for being slightly above the level of feather dusters and plumped pillows when it comes to power.
mosley was shot it was the timming that had him floyd had very good timing even if a baby pokes you in the face enough times it will hurt.........
malignaggi: we're a not dissimilar age and I outweigh him by a lean 75lbs [theoretically, it's currently a doughy-at-the-edges 100lbs] but, still, emphatically no. his jab is *way* harder than mine. like most regular Joe's my off-hand is barely usable whereas his is the product of talent and a life's work. his haymaker is *way* harder than mine because his vastly superior athleticism and training translate into, well, power. just maybe, given than he's broken his right hand four times and is accordingly nervous about using it, I could throw some kind of right handed arm punch that's in a not totally dissimilar ball park to his, but, still, if he goes for broke he can still hit comfortably harder, for much the same reasons as above, namely a combination of talent and practice.
