    I agree he needs to stop trying to be his Dad, both in and out of the ring. His interviews are very cringe worthy.

    Nigel was an intimidating figure, a world class puncher who came up the hard way and went toe to toe with the Iran Barkley's of the world

    Conor, on the other hand came up the Eddie Hearn way and the " Nigel Benn " act really lets him down and will ultimately be his undoing.

    Full credit to Connor IMO, really solid performance last night against someone who many (including me) might be a step too far for him. Not sure how far he’ll go but you can’t argue that he’s moving in the right direction and improved massively over the past couple of years

    Conor Benn does have that mean streak and spite that boxers need. Will be interesting to see his trajectory. Those tattoos tho...

    Yeah it's the hypocrisy. He says I am my own man, then has a Twitter handle ConorNigel . I know Nigel is his middle name, but I bet if his middle name was Joe it wouldn't be in his twitter name. Then his nickname the dark destroyer. He trys talking like his dad in interviews. Boy has ability, works hard, doing well, just be you're own man.

    What a tool cannot believe people are giving him a pass. Even got his own personalised WBA belt, isn't that cute! Acts like a 14 year old not a 24 year old ffs.

    Don't follow him on Twitter or any social media but enjoy watching his fights. I don't particularly need a fighter to be good enough to win titles to enjoy watching. Fair play to him he had a start to a career sent away and improved. No idea how much money his old man still has but suspect he grew up easier than most so didn't need to do this.

    There are at least 5 of us on here.

    @pnebuz and @Double J are fans.

    As for last night.

    Smith seems a bit of an in ring plonker, sounded like Jason Gavern at times. Unlikeable and he'll get KTFO at 154 by any of the current crop (Cheese, Fitz, Fowler, Egg) if he drops as he wishes to do.

    Babic - just enjoy him for what he is whilst it lasts. Zero technique, just powers forward throwing until he is knackered. Hrgovic is a total mis-match. Over in 2 Rounds.

    Wardley - I can't quite make my mind up with him. Is he big enough for the top end of the pool? I however quite liked his mature concentration levels whilst it lasted which offers me some hope for him. I wouldn't mind seeing him face Price within his next 2 fights. A genuine step up with weight, height and experience against him.

    Benn - A much improved performance but equally, against a guy with heart but zero pop coming back, he didn't get him out of there. A win is a win I suppose at the end of the day. It does though make the Kelly fight seem more competitive than anticipated pre-fight.

    Lastly, was quite surprised the number of times that Adam Smith bigged up a rivals (BT) televised bout next week. Never heard that before from one of our main sports companies.

    His punches have a similar spite on the end of them that papa Nige had. Was thinking that watching him.
