Shevchenko looked beatable last night despite landing sharp shots, last night proved Nunes is P4P the best female fighter MMA in the world, is Shevchenko overrated?

I think she was having an off night. fighters have nights were they are in beast mode and other nights they are fighting predictable and too methodical, they forget how to pull the trigger.

WHAT ? Shev dominated the fight and yes she did lose one round, big deal. She took zero damage and completely outclassed her opponent both with striking and ground fighting. Really the fight was not competitive at all imo.

Shev is still the woman's p4p no.1 imo. She beat Nunes in their 2nd fight imo at Nune's weight of 135 and Shev is miles smaller than her.

She was pinned to the cage being controlled for lang periods in a couple of rounds and wasn`t landing much in the early rounds that were pretty messy and close, the first round finished with her being controlled on the ground.

All the rds in the fight were very very easy to score and not close at all. Apart from rd 2 where Maia got her down and held her down for approx 3 minutes landing zero damage or attempted sub attempts - the rest of the fight was all Shevchenko.

I think people get all caught up when a dominate champ doesn't blow someone away easily and lose a rd there is a false narrative that Rogan perpetuates that the champ really struggled which isn't what happened at all.

If the roles were reversed and Maia did what Shevchenko did in the fight everyone would be blown away by the performance and say Maia completely dominated and schooled the champ.
