In books. In newspapers. Of course, on these forums most of the people just want to talk about Roberto Duran.
Ron Davis is a moron who is so far up Davey Day's ass its ridiculous. If you read many of the accounts of the fights he tries to paint as two way wars that Day lost to big name fighters you see rather than Day really being that successful he merely did better than expected. People looked at him as this wispy boney weakling of a guy who looked nothing like a fighter and expected him to get bowled over. When he fought well and didnt get bowled over the crowd got behind him, as they often do with underdogs, and gave him more credit in losing than he actually deserved. You can go through the accounts of his fights and see that Davis gives him WAY more credit than he deserves.
"You ain't heard nothing yet." After the games, " I'll be back." I want you (get it in your undernourished head) to understand that Henry Armstrong, Ambers ,Canzoneri, Ross, McLarnin, Angott, Pep were all great fighters!
So youve taken it upon yourself to convince me that Armstrong, Ambers, Canzoneri, Ross, McLarnin, Angott, and Pep were great fighters... Let me guess, your next trick will be convincing me that the sun is hot and after that youll convince me that water is wet and ice is cold? I can tell you are a man who likes a challenge...
