You don't think Pac would stop Argüello in 14 at 140? I don't think that's doubtful in the slightest. Hell, I'd pick Manny to stop Pryor and ETM in 4 at 140, although I'd pick Argüello to beat him at 130 and 135. Pacquiao was just too big, both, at 140
Pryor wouldn’t get schooled by Marquez and then iced by him at 140 the way Pacquaio was at 140. I strongly believe Pryor at 140 would have defeated Chavez. I’m not sure Pacquaio beats the Alexis from Pryor I. Pacquaio was not the relentless fighter Pryor was by the time he was above lightweight for the most part. Arguello beats a lot of dudes on that night, was a wonderful counter puncher and combination puncher and that’s two areas Marquez always gave Pacquaio fits. It would also be same day weigh-ins for what that’s worth. Regarding OP. I see someobe like Napoles as a clear favorite over Aaron but because he didn’t fight there isn’t got no claim as being more accomplished 140 guy. Same way I think Jofre breaks Gomez down at 122, it wasn’t there in Jofre’s day. I can see Olivares being life and death with Gomez but probably falling just short. Gomez at 122 is the undisputed goat. I don’t think he was that much a better fighter than Zarate that their fight showed the same way Sanchez isn’t worlds apart from Gomez was their weight showed. The weight classes down there make a big difference.

Pryor-Arguello was a same day weigh-in so 140 guys today don’t. It may make a very big difference. There’s a huge different from Arguello and Hatton, a shell of Hatton at that. Marquez schooled Pacquaio in the third fight in 2011. I honestly don’t know who Pacquaio beat at 147 who Pryor wouldn’t. I think given the same list of opponents he’d do better.
That's your opinion, your welcome to that. But in my opinion your wrong. Obviously you have very little respect for Pryor, you probably judge him on the Arguello fights. But I followed him through his amateur career, watched him come through the ranks, I know every lightweight of note of his era avoided him like the plague. Everything a person wanted to see in a pro fighter Pryor had. Speed? Check. Power ? Check. Countering ability? Check. Skills? Check. Endurance? Aggressivenes? Actually too much but Check. My question to you is how can you say you'd pick Pac to stop Arguello in 14 rds, when Pac NEVER had to go 14rds? That shows your bias point of view right their. Than you say he's too big for both? Of course he is with modern supplements, and muscle enhancing drugs like steroids, and day before weigh ins. But would he with his skill set be able to do that without it? Hell no! Pac is only 5'5" or 5'6" in 82 he wouldn't have gone beyond super featherweight successfully. His built doesn't suggest he would have. If I could bring Pryor to Pacs era, with all the modern stimulants and enhancements of today but with the skill level he possessed 82 he'd destroy Pac. So would Arguello. Vice versa if Pac fought in that era, without drugs or enhancements he would never have seen the welter limit as a pro fighter. If he did, guess what they wouldve been to BIG for him ( Your words) Especially when considering the average height of Welters during that era was 5' 8" 5'10" and usually walked around around at 160. Hell Pac probably wouldn't have won a championship in those days at featherweight with fighters like Gomez, Sanchez, Nelson, Lockridge, Pintor, Pedroza prowling around that weight and a who's who of very good fighters. Judging by how he initially looked at the start of his career he'd be a fly or Bantamweight weight in the 80's successfully, but very doubtful he would go much beyond that.

I’m not sure about that one ....if Manny thought that Juan Manuel Marquez was a great counter puncher,then wait till he gets a load of Arguello. It’s a 50/50 fight ...and either guy could get stopped
