Callum Smith too good to have possible mega-money Canelo shock among British boxing’s biggest upsets

Well Golovkin is nearly 40 now so in a couple of years Canelo might complete the trilogy, given his predeliction of hanging out at the old age home to find potential opponents.

Callum Smith is ranked #1 at 168 by just about everybody.

    So I see his point.

I've never rated Callum Smith, despite his huge size he's never learned to fully utilise his size advantages. No head movement, basic guard, doesn't move well etc. Canelo will make him miss and counter him all night long, till he breaks him down and stops him.

This. Smith is the top dog of a division that's as hard as warm porridge. His sheer size might give ginger problems for a while but skills-wise I fully expect Canelo to come out on top.

Canelo takes smith out around rounds 8-10 with a body shot and smiths curled over and can’t continue

Dont make up **** I have never said that. All I want to see is Canelo give Smith a fair crack of the whip. It would make a change for him to do it

You think Canelo is taking a page from Pacquiao? Now that was borderline shameful.

I think Canelo avoided Golovkin until he visibly got old :deal:

Mark my words. Callum Smith will fight more cautiously than he ever has. He will resport to throwing one punch at a time, and will try to jab but will ultimately either fold and take a knee, or go on survival mode. Smith will be a little like Kovalev in the first few rounds, and a little Like Chavez Jr once in survival mode.

Nothing will even compare to how Pacquiao made JMM wait. Four years for the rematch, then another three years for the rubber match.
