It's not a bad card tbh, not as stacked as the Mecca Bingo telly tubby Ruiz rematch but not bad.

Yes, but if they reduce the price of the PPV for this back to £19.95 it's the price of a Pizza and a pint and the PPV price is back down before it's back up for the next 'mega fight'.

I follow Matchroom on LinkedIn and it's ****ing comical and nauseating to read some of the comments. Wish I could post screenshots in this forum because ****ing hell, the below is an actual word-for-word thread of comments under the most recent post by Matchroom:

Ben Hopkins: "Met Eddie at one of the first Matchroom US events at Nassau Coliseum, Long Island with Danny Jacobs top of the bill. Couldn't have been a more personable guy when I "fanboyed" over to him. He's done great things for not only UK boxing but sport as a whole. Wrecks me when he gets booed after every fight. Great product, great man!

Adam Nichols: "Oh mate, I would have been like an 11 year old boy meeting him. Love Eddie, massive fan!

Craig O'Connor: "He's inspiring!! His work ethic is second to none. Have you got his book, Ben?

Fair play to Eddie, he's got these mugths reeled in and completely hypnotised by his IFL bantz.

The only way to set price standard is boycott it and let the PPV flop

If they said it’s £25 but say every £5 went to grassroots boxing such as amateur and other community boxing clubs then I would pay it, not a problem.

They have to source AJs salary from somewhere. However, this will certainly not do as well as the past, as pubs in Tier 3 are closed so won't be buying - usually most pubs buy the big fights (and normally pay between £500-£1000 for the pleasure) but given the situation a lot of this revenue is gone.

I don't think pubs will be allowed to pack the house with sports fans anyway, in any tier, for some time yet, so might not even bother to pay the premium.

Pubs if they were open did get the PPV football games for no extra charge- I suspect Sky would look at a reduction in fees for licensed premises. Sky aren’t doing very well across the board at the moment.

im 73 now and a pensioner..ive always paid for ppv contests but its become too expensive to pay for all of the fights and i have to choose carefully what i want..i will join dazn and expect that to go up within months...if they charge what boxnation used to charge i wont mind as its good value,...if you are paying for sky sports by subscription and have to pay extra for every fight its puting boxing out of the reach for a lot of people..i love the sport and have gone back to listening to some of the promotions on radio..i love this site and enjoy reading the comments

Welcome aboard! I really enjoy Mike Costello's coverage of big fights on Five Live. He's often accompanied by Andy Lee and the two of them provide a good balance of journalism and pro insight. Talksport's not bad either.

I generally like Andy Lee and I have found his commentary insightful in the past, although from what I understand he scored Selby / Kambosos extremely wide to Selby weirdly enough, which I can't understand.

I think there may be two Andy Lee's. The one on BBC commentaries and the one on Sky/DAZN productions. The former seems to be a little more objective than the latter! Nobody's perfect I guess...

I think he's good at technical observations and makes a good team with Mike C.

Earlier in this thread you were ridiculing the idea that Frank Warren was making Dubois v Joyce non-PPV to give back to the fans and now we have this:

    This content is protected

Any chance you might rethink your hatred of Warren and give him kudos for this?
