Got Wilder by KO Whyte is a walking heavy bag. He would slow mid/late and Wilder would crack him. Fun fight just to see what tactics Whyte deploys and whether he can do some decent outboxing against Wilder early. The whole notion that Whyte is some amazing brawler who can come forward and put it on Wilder is just false. This is the fight Wilder should jump on to gain back some credibility. Should have stepped in for Povetkin.
Whyte's stock has gone down after that shock loss to a shot to bits Povetkin but I give him a 30-40% chance of getting a win. Wilder is also damaged goods.
Whyte is decent but not quite up there with the best in the division. He should have taken the AJ rematch when it was offered.
Ive seen wilder get hurt by lesser opponents than whyte. He almost got stopped by grandpa Luis Ortiz and got stunned by Eric Molina. Wilder is seen as a monster because he's fought nothing but tomato cans. Whytes actually beat some decent competition. 60-40 favouring whyte tbh
I don't see the bout panning out in a way in which Whyte would slow by the mid to late rounds. It would probably go something like the Ortiz rematch. Very low volume. I'd be surprised if Wilder didn't land his right hand. Whyte would have a chance, but he would need to be on constant red alert and I don't see him coming out and getting close to Wilder and roughing him up. I think that's his best chance, but I think it would be a cagey sort of affair.
Whyte by KO. Wilder has never beaten anyone of Whytes quality. Whyte is much more well rounded, great left hook, good jab, goes to the body very effectively and has less flaws than Wilder. Also Whyte has the better resume. Wilder knows this hence why he avoided Whyte like the plague despite being his number 1 contender for years.
Molina? Are you kidding? He is a useless fighter Anyhow, Whyte roughs Wilder up quite a bit but eventually gets starched out flat out his back
I'd be rooting for Whyte to win since Wilder sucks as a boxer and as a man but the pessimist in me says that Whyte wouldn't be able take Wilder's best shot. I do think Whyte has a chance if he can hurt Wilder but it's slim, 20-25%. In my mind I see the fight going like Wilder vs Ortiz 2. Whyte dominates every round against Wilder's lousy boxing skills until Wilder takes him with one good shot in the later rounds. I'd love to be proven wrong if this happens though!
Whytes beaten oscar rivas, joseph parker and derek chisora. He's shown better feats that luis ortiz tbh. Luis ortiz might've been on whytes level 5 years ago but he hasn't beaten anybody noteworthy since jennings and hes gotten old. People are shitting on whyte because of the povetkin loss but he was dominating povetkin until he got caught with a beautifully timed uppercut. He also got caught with an uppercut by Aj. Wilder doesn't throw uppercuts and is nowhere near as skilled as povetkin even now. But wilder still hits hard thats why im only slightly favoring whyte
