If that's the case, then he beats everyone. After he becomes champ in 73 can't really see anyone stopping him.

I think prime Tyson beats any version of Joe Frazier, and handily. I'm a little less confident about Ali but by a few years into the 70s, I think he'd slowed down enough for a properly prepared Tyson to outwork and outpoint.

 

Frazier if everything aligns perfectly.

If it doesn't, then a much less salubrious scalp!

I agree with a lot of this, except I can't say Mike had a hook as good as Frazier. No.

Foreman would have wiped him out. Mike might have lasted one round.

 

Frazier had better stamina so he could throw his left time and time again. Frazier carried his punch better through the fight. Frazier was a better body puncher.

However, in terms of sheer raw power, i think Tyson had just as powerful a left.

 

Being born in 1976...all I really knew in 1984-88 was Tyson ,Holmes & Spinks than holyfield....but what a tantalising thing...that Mikes 1987/88 prime...he was only really 5 yrs removed from a prime holmes...10 yrs from norton and foreman....and even the 1976 Ali just 10 years apart......still thats why we are talking in forums 35-45 yrs later
