Tony Yoka v Christian Hammer Live on Premier Sports and Boxnation Friday 8pm

I wouldn't say he was accurate. He barely landed a clean punch on Hammer all night, and that's a slow, out of shape and extremely plodding Hammer who was extremely open when he was opening with those lunging left uppercuts (LOL).

He has beaten some decent names for this early in his career. But let's be honest, these "decent names" are as much formalities as beating up a Tomas Mrazek. Let's see him in there with somebody who is motivated and fresh enough. I think he's sure to be found out. Stick him in there with big Viktor Faust who is the same age and of a similar size.

Big Faust wouldn't want any part in it, though. He'll want his own merry-go-round of beating up old, semi-name has beens. Hammer will be an attractive prospect for many of these "prospects" now. If Hearn catches wind, he'll be on the blower getting Hammer paid to lose to Fabio Wardley.

 

I'd pick Dubois, Joyce, and even a motivated Chisora to stop Yoka based on that performance. Not impressed at all.

 

It was the kind of stuff you see in a movie bud...to beat them in the very last second, I was jumping all around the room. No way am I gonna be able to sleep for hours after that.

 

Just watch Okolie vs Askins on repeat, soon be off to the land of nod. Nothing against Askins, wasn't his fault!

That's the impression I was left with too.

Quick, tall, lean looking HW, I'm not convinced how well he deals with a compact, very powerful opponent who can punch. With that physique does not look durable at all to me.

He seemed content to just box to a decision also, never stepped on the gas in any meaningful way. He doesn't look anywhere near as accomplished as Hrgovic or Dubois, both of whom I think would stop him at least based on that display.

Wrong thread like but it wouldn't surprise me to see Lenny fail a drugs test.
