Stop pretending both of these guys didn’t peak around 30.

We don't know that. Usyk has not made his run for the heavyweight title, yet.

In another thread, I painfully delineated that Usyk is only throwing about 2/3 of the punches now that he is capable of throwing. I don't believe that is because he has fallen off that much in two years. I think it is just because thus far, he has treated his heavyweight fights as sparring matches.

Would you like some kind of gentlemen's bet? I will not say he will beat Fury, but would be 50/50 for Joshua, and believe he will handily beat anyone else just by throwing a thousand punches in the fight.

I'll take a bet against anyone but Fury, even though I am 50/50 on Joshua. Nothing harsh or humiliating. Maybe just loser comes out and starts a thread admitting he was wrong and giving credit to the winner.

    Deal?

    But only for Joshua?

No problem then. Done. Gentlemen's bet.

Where I’m from, they call that: His mouth wrote a check his ass couldn’t cash.

Truth is, he’s best and most remembered for his big toe. So let’s just say he left a unique legacy.

It's a shame that the David Haye Vs Tyson Fury fight didn't happen when it should have happened. Then many would change their minds about David Haye, once again.

Quite. The cheque however was real and he did get to cash it.

He sold his rep for maybe an mid eight figure sum. I don't think I blame him, it beats defending his cruiserweight title for £300k or whatever.

Fair play to him. He saw an opportunity to make himself comfortable financially and he took it. And, I wouldn't pretend it was the easiest way for him to do so - the caper did come with risks.

The shame of it being that there were a considerable number of people, who had more belief in him than he had in himself.

I think Haye might well have had the physical tools; just not the mental make-up to use them - not in all-weathers, at least.

I thought he beat Valuev more clearly than others but I'd rather stub my toe than watch that uneventful fight again. That said, same goes for his fight w Wlad.

He was a talented cruiser but his personality always was bigger than his talent. As a heavyweight he would struggle now like he would then even moreso imho against guys like Usyk, Fury n Wilder. MAYBE he could beat Joshua but wouldn't bet on it.

Was Audley the guy who said he was hard working n blue collar while Haye was in plush palaces? That part made me chuckle but I knew the build up was gonna b better than the fight.
