I think Dubois will have a surprisingly hard time landing on Joyce.

The best fight this year and the one I have been looking forward to the most ever since it was announced (feels like an age ago now..).

I like Joyce a lot and always watch him fight, but am also a big Dubois fan and think he is special. His fundamentals are better than many give him credit for (Jab is better than any of the other top protects), quick hands for a HW of that size, and obviously he's got the strength and physicality to dominate and push anyone back. Not quite as fluid as I would like, his upper body movement could improve but then again he has had precious little chance to perfect that in the ring, he's never needed it...

He's athletic, lives the life outside the ring, eats sleeps breathes boxing, he's still only 23, his stamina will be no issue I don't doubt he can do 12 rounds at a good pace. The obvious and I think only question mark is his chin. How durable is he? We'll find out tonight.

I think what excites me and most other people most about him though is his power. His power to me is world class. I think he's a lot more than just heavy handed, he's got that one punch KO power that can put someone to sleep any time.

Prospects are typically overrated, I think in Daniels case on most boxing forums at least the opposite is true, to me he appears to be underrated. There's a lot of boxers in and around the top 10 I think he would destroy now, at 23.

Dubois KO, rounds 7-9 although having said that I would genuinely not be surprised if this is over in 2 or 3 rounds.

Joyce best chance is if he rolls the dice and gambles his chin, tries to land something big early to de-stabilize Dubois and try to panic him. That's the only question mark against Daniel so he may as well try to capitalize on it early on. He won't outbox and 'old man' Dubois to victory, I don't agree a longer fight is in Joe's favor despite his great engine.

Hold on the BEST fight of the year was on 5 Sept promoted by Mick Hen Essay on Channel 5 - Alex Dilmaghani v Samir Ziani. In fact one would struggle to find a better 12 rounds anywhere.

The BIGGEST fight of the year was in February when ONLY ONE Tyson Fury defeated Deontay Wilder.

This is a cracking fight though and cannot wait.

Last time we had a British Heavyweight fight as big as this was Joshua v Pudding Whyte and Whyte came into that fight with a shoulder injury and an interim trainer in Jonathan Banks. This is a proper British Heavyweight fight, both very shy quiet awkward (both definitely on the spectrum) guys but brash promo not needed for this one. Respect to Joyce as well for continuing to fight even with his head trainer Salas rules out of the corner because of coronavirus.

    Controversial draw or DQ.
