I would not say he beat up GGG. GGG out threw and landed Canelo. Canelo had the cleaner work though. Canelo is very prime right now.

Like I said, Bookies go by who is the likely winner. They do take into account robberies, as do boxing fans who bet.

I agree that too many fights get called robberies while being just close affairs. And boxing scoring seems too subjective anyways.

Did you count those punches landed? Because **** compubox. And you don´t score a fight by compubox anyways.

Rosado did not "win" by being busier. He wasn´t even that much busier to be honest.

Who was landing? Rosado! It was clear as day that Rosado was landing the clear power shots, while Jacobs was badly missing and hitting the guard.

Like I said, there is no way Jacobs won 7 rounds. I have my scorecard up, 7-5 for Rosado. Feel free to find another round for Jacobs. You will not.
And if you do find one, I will show you why you are wrong.

And I was being generous to Jacobs by giving him the first 3.

    Wtf?

Rosado fought Angulo in 2009. He had been boxing for what, 5 years at that point? And I am talking amateurs and pro.
    Golovkin fight happened in 2013.

Do you think Rosado didn´t improve in that timeframe?

****er has been getting better and better despite the beatings he has taken. Rosado is in his prime in terms of skill and experience.

Missed this one worth catching up on straight away or one for a rainy day? I will watch it eventually but looking for a fight to watch before the Dubois fight

I think its safe to say that power punches hurt than jabs. Also based on facial bruising, body language after the fight, and GGG uncharacteristically taking almost a year off from boxing to likely recover, its safe to say he got beat up.

Before fighting GGG, Rosado had been fighting pro almost seven years and was 26-5 with ALL of his fights fought at Super Welterweight, his most notable win Saul Roman. Come on man.

He then moved up to MW eight years ago and since moving up has an impressive record of

As much as we all love Gabriel Rosado the truth is he's just a journeyman.

    And?

I wasn´t talking about his standing in any division.
Yea, he lost a lot of fights. He also just got robbed by one of the best guys he has ever fought.

I wouldn't say it was a robbery by any means, but a good argument can be made the Rosado deserved the win.

With that said, Rosado had a good night and Jacobs had an awful night. We have all seen Jacobs perform better against harder opposition, and we have all seen Rosado look worse against lower level opposition.

I hope Rosado keeps the momentum going and does improve, but this fight left more questions about both fighters than questions answered.

    Fair enough.
However, I dare you to find 7 rounds for Jacobs. And I will show you how it´s impossible.

Honestly I can't be arsed to re-watch such a dull fight. Lol

I'll go with the consensus that Rosado won because it seemed as if he did, but I did not score it and I do realize many rounds were extremely close.

Roach is really changing Rosado’s fight patterns in the twilight of his career. He fought the total opposite of his norm. Question is will he catch another guy off guard fighting that way? Now that it’s on tape. I think he shocked Jacobs fighting so calculated and measured. It’s like a basketball team game planning to play a that only plays man to man and they come and play nothing but zone. I do think we may have seen the best of Jacobs.

This was fought at such a slow pace, that it´s rather easy to score. There were no wild exchange and back and forths where it is hard to see who is landing.
I am amazed that 2 so many people just ran with the idea that Jacobs won.

Weren't they pretty even in terms of punches landed per round? I thought the fight felt close.

Are we judging by compubox again?

It felt close because it was such a slow fight. But in reality, Rosado landed the cleaner power shots throughout. And he made Jacobs miss a lot.

No, like I said, at first and only watch I felt Rosado won, but it felt that Jacobs winning wasn't so far fetched.
