Ajagba wouldn't even beat Dubois let alone Joyce, did you watch his last fight, guy is a KO waiting to happen.

same. i wanted him to turn the heat on earlier. He was about to smash him senseless in the next rounds. After 6 rounds when dubois was tired i thought joyce should have gone on the inside and maul him. why give a tired fighter room to breathe and punch, that way joyce could have taken lesser punishment and finished him earlier

Joyce looked super calm, relaxed and focused during his ring walk and Dubois seemed a bit on edge and in the first round he looked very nervous. I had a good feeling when I saw how focused Joyce looked. I said that I thought Joyce had a lot of respect for Dubois power and that he would keep it long and box to try and draw the sting out of him but I didn't expect him to do it all night. I think they saw that the eye was getting progressively worse and knew he was winning or at the very worst that it was pretty even and he was trying to close that eye completely and seal the deal by putting his foot on the gas when he did so.

I think Joyce goes down as being effective rather than technically good. His has an excellent chin and relentless work rate, those are two traits that make him a pain for Dubois. Joyce jabbed really well all night. But that’s something Dubois can work on. And now he knows there are people out there who can take his shots he’ll have to get smarter. I think he can do that, especially as he grows more maturely

I think that's unfair to Ajagba. He's not good, but he's not so bad either. Ajagba vs Joyce would be a good fight to watch, regardless of the outcome.

If Joyce can jab him up, then so can Efe.
I just doubt Efe would be able to take Dubois power.

But then again, Efe would actually throw that follow up right hand.

You're saying AJ did not quit? He genuinely did not want/expect the ref to stop it?

To be honest, I think he was trying to work out how to get his own jab off. He did have success at times in patches of getting it going.

I just don't think he knew how to establish it, when he had so much coming back.

I think he could learn more lateral movement like Joyce, maybe just moving/circling away, move out, reset then come back in and establish the jab and repeat. That would of interuppted Joe being able to jab all the time, but you really can't just learn to do that in a fight, unless your an elite fighter who can adapt and have the skill.

But didn’t we know that already against kingpin? He ran out of ideas and did again tonight. Not just that you can’t teach a gas tank. After a burst or two he was absolutely blowing. He’s a one trick pony who is all power. I don’t think he’s got a boxing brain.
