Both had the bottle to get in there for a 50/50 fight - still waiting to see Tony Dosh PPV do similar.

That would be my concern really. Although to be fair, neither of them had an actual injury. Your first time losing vision in a fight at that age is always going to be tough. He either grows from the trepidation or will crumble for it

What AJ did (pretending not to quit while quitting) was disgusting and took so much from Ruiz's win. The fact that you believed AJ's lie -- that you think AJ didn't quit -- marks you as a gullible fool.

Not really as Kingpin doesn’t really throw back. He’ll give you rounds but he won’t make you think too hard unless you’re Hell bent on getting him out of there. You don’t have to teach a gas tank, but you can maybe lose a little muscle mass to help with stamina. My eyebrows were certainly raised when he had to rest after a single flurry. Although credit to Joyce as his pressure certainly helped sad away his energy

I agree, he seemed content with trying to get his own jabs off without adjusting his feet and quickly changing that angle up, especially with the hand speed advantage he has. His head movement wasn't even that bad but by god his feet were stiff

Frankie boy had the fix in early on this one. 8 rounds up. What a complete farce. Has the audacity to call his outfit Queensbury.

Dobois was ahead on the official scorecards? Ahead by eight rounds on one card? I liked Dubois more and wanted him to win, but obviously was losing badly.

Jesus Christ... why do I watch this stupid, corrupt sport. They obviously rig it for whoever is the bigger future draw. Why? Is that supposed to help boxing by making it obviously unfair and corrupt?

I said all along that Dubois would chin him so I was totally utterly wrong. Massive credit to Joyce for using intelligent footwork and working behind the jab like that.

Dubois is a sensible lad for taking the knee, that’s what any intelligent person would do. Your health is more important and all that....but, that’s why they’re fighters, because digging deep and going out on your shield is the unwritten code, taking the sensible option is for mortals like me. That’s why they fight and I sit in my armchair. That will never leave him. It was ok to lose, that’s fine...he’s give it his all, he’s made it a really competitive fight, but quitting, that will never ever leave him.

Well done Joyce, and to all the lads on here who made a few quid on backing him.
