Roy was not amazing at heavyweight Tyson wasn`t in his prime in `91 but would have destroyed anyone at the level of Ruiz and I don`t know if Roy could have beat Ruddock.

Tyson was better at setting up his shots, Roy stood off too much.

Money talks. Both of these guys are capable of finding a soft spot on the canvass to lay down.

Roy gets the better of a sparring session that goes as you would expect of two guys in their fifties.

Well if Tyson accidentally knocks Roid TFO, he'll get DISQUALIFIED.

    Tyson can't win.

All who thinks a Prime Jones beats a Prime tyson is dumb as hell and are just on Roy's jockstrap. Tyson in his prime was probably if not the fastest & quickest heavyweight. Better fundamentals, head movement, power, footwork, yet Roy is supposed to knock him out or decision Mike? Please

I’m assuming people are referring H2H and not P4P.

Roy ranks higher all-time and was greater at 168-175 than Tyson was at HW.

Straight up, prime Roy lasts about as long with prime Tyson as Michae Spinks, who was probably even better at LHW than Roy.

Was the other way around, Mike looked as fresh in rd 8 as he did in rd 1, Roy was visibly tired

Well to all those on the internet that have been saying Mike Tyson can come out of retirement and beat Wilder. Umm no he can't.

2003 HW RJJ who beat Ruiz would have EASILY beaten 2003 Tyson. However 2003 HW RJJ who beat Ruiz would have had all kinds of problems with a late 80s prime Tyson under Rooney. If we're talking 2003 HW RJJ vs 1990s Tyson, it's a toss up.

In fact I thought the opposite, I was hoping Mike would carry Roy in the 8th round, not knock him out.lol. Roy was too slow at that weight tho...

Roy was winded in there but he still hung in there against a rejuvenated Tyson for 8 two-minute rounds. These guys are in their 50s. The fact that they can still put on a somewhat coherent boxing match at that age is extraordinary.
