I read somewhere that jones had a chance to fight tyson around this time after jones had just beaten ruiz. Let's say it would of happen who would of won?

Tyson was a full brown drug addict and alcoholic by this point. Jones by Decision.

Jones for the simple fact Tyson wouldn’t want to be there.

I remember that when this was mooted, most people thought that Jones would have won.

We knew that Tyson was on the slide, and thought that Jones was better than he was.

In the end Tarver derailed it.

So what do I make of last nights events?

I am just glad that Tyson got to go out on a better note, than that dreadful loss to Kevin McBride!

Tyson vs Jones was just a sparring session nothing special. I was that just happy Tyson or Jones will never do a legit professional fight again.

It generated more media interest than Dubois Joyce, which was actually pertinent to the future of the division!

What rookies in the history of boxing had a chance of generating more interest than a fight between 2 ex legends? Especially 2 foreign rookies?

It did but let's not try to pretend it was something special.

There were people who did not normally follow boxing getting interested.

That is something special in my eyes!
