No chance, he’s still going to earn enough money over the next 3-5 fights to set most people up for life.

Its funny seeing people's over the top reactions in sport in general , he is very young and especially being a heavyweight he can come again. Bit drastic to say it's the end.

It's ridiculous and just for context so many people, like Dave Allen for example, were telling AJ to retire after the Ruiz loss. Look at him now with his belts back and on the cusp of a mega fight with Fury. People also said Fury was done after the Seferi fight and look at him now.

The OTT reactions in boxing are nothing new but they really are the stuff of drama queen. You'd expect to read these sorts of reactions on Lipstick Alley from hormonal women.

Dubois was arguably winning the fight and quit because of a serious eye injury. That's all. The only doubt that remains is on the health of his eye(s). As we saw with Brook when he injured both eyes in consecutive fights against Golovkin and then Spence. I don't think that was a coincidence.

Spencer makes very valid points that he doesn't look like he enjoys fighting. When you don't have heart, when you don't enjoy being in the ring, you don't love boxing and you choose not to continue and go out on your sheild, it's really not a good look in the tough sport of boxing.

Probs the best thing to happen to him, will realise he can't just blast anyone out of there with power alone. Will realise why he need to work on his defense and boxing skills more.

    He is only 23 lol...

Imagine todays Internet for the first hour after the Benn v McLellan fight if it was happening now.

A fighter suffers a broken eye socket and his eye swells shut and starts ballooning and his career is prettymuch written off, not because of the injury but because he didn't carry on fighting with one good eye and another that was closed shut and getting progressively worse.

They are gonna do the ' he's still young' excuse they've done with Hughie Fury for years lol When he blatantly got exposed as multi flawed last night.

If Dubois has a strong inner resolve and believes that he can come back then losing at this stage of his fighting career won't finish him.

Champions don't always have an easy path to victory.

This was a test that he failed but with the right people around him and a desire to learn from this defeat then he has a good chance of coming back stronger and better than before.

It is now time for him to show how much he really wants it and if faced with a similar problem in the ring will he find a way to win.

You hit it on the head at the end...it will depend on his eye. Anyone remember Calvin Brock? Lamon Brewster? Michael Olajade?
