Usyk is probably very happy with the result of Dubois vs Joyce

Dubois is a bum and wouldn't be hitting air all night. He would lose to Chisora too.

 

He didn't look "terrible" against Chisora. In a sense, he did what he always does, in that he gave away the first two rounds, and won every single subsequent round. He also visibly rocked Chisora at the end of a round, forgot which. The difference was that he did all of that throwing 2/3 his capacity, because the fight was basically a sparring session to him.

As for Joyce, he should be happy. This is basically how his first world heavyweight title fight will go, only a few more rounds...

Usyk has a field day with either. Not sure what your point is.

 

It seems like you are probably very UNHAPPY with the results of both Dubois-Joyce and Usyk-Chisora.

 

He looked terrible, there is no place for excuses. Chisora is good boxer but he is very slow. How Usyk might deal with large boxers that are not very slow but just slow?

If he had not Chisora but Whyte in the ring, maybe this ended for him as session how to get TKOed.

Of course, still Dear God, luckily for Usyk Dereck is very slow. Otherwise he had been finished in distance.

 

Looks that Usyk didn't had KO power even in CW when he stepped up. lower ranked boxers he was capable to stop, with Hunter and Glowacki it didn't happened, barely defeated Briedis on cards ( interestingly might be to see their match at HW ), then he had Murat. Murat didn't had Usyk experience level, even not close to his experience level. Murat also was slower than Usyk's WBSS final and semi final version.
With these Whiterspoon and Chisora Usyk looked that is becoming slow, not such sharp and agile like in WBSS.
His WBSS version was interesting to watch. Mainly cos he was most agile from these boxers in WBSS, with best jab too.

Chisora and Whiterspoon moved really slow vs him. Usyk's earlier version due to more agile and productive probably easily stopped them.
Now Usyk looks that becomed slower, less agile, like tired.

Struggled with Chisora? I am a massive Chisora fan and I gave him 2 rounds. Not sure what fight you were watching but Usyk did pretty much what he usually does, other than 2 rough early rounds where Chisora threw the kitchen sink at him and still couldn't put him away.

Dubois would of been taken apart by Usyk, far too predictable, his southpaw stance would take away Dubois' jab and his low work rate would suit Usyk would allow him to dictate the pace and gas Dubois.

Joyce is a far tougher opponent for Usyk, one who won't gas, one that won't respect his power. Only issue Joyce has is he'll struggle to pin Usyk down, he's too quick and agile and can only hope in a 12 round fight he can wear out Usyk with relentless pressure and work rate.

 

Usyk relentlessly accumulates points, and positions himself to up the effort in the late rounds (if need be). He paces himself for the full allocation of rounds, and stays pretty disciplined to that game-plan where never being in trouble trumps looking impressive offensively. Rather than losing some concentration and tactics in the second half he's finding his zone. He starts to assert himself later when his opponent has tired, and is even or behind on points. It's a subtle but effective strategy. A points win, is a win. It worked with Chisora.

Just my take. Not really sure Dubios has the ability to counter that.

 

Usyk vs Joshua is a 50-50 type of fight. maybe 55-45 in favour Joshua. Anyway Usyk will be a live dog here.
