Detailed analysis of Deontay Wilder's resume.

Stiverne, Luis Ortiz and Tyson Fury the only top 10 heavyweights he ever fought?

Most protected and overhyped heavyweight the world has ever seen.

The right hand was always a myth.

Let me save everyone some time and give you a detailed analysis of the detailed analysis video.

Wilder didn't fight Wlad in 2015 or Joshua in 2017, so Wilder sucks.

Wilder has never fought anyone in the top 50 (no idea what top 50 is being referred to). So Wilder sucks.

Everyone Wilder fought who was in the top 50 - even though he hasn't fought anyone in the top 50 - sucked. Which means Wilder sucks.

Oh, and Nicolai Firtha is a guy most top amateurs fight in their pro debuts.

Even though no one has fought Firtha in their pro debut. And Fury and Povetkin both fought Firtha years into their careers, too. Povetkin went 10. Fury got staggered and was gifted a British stoppage. And Wilder destroyed him.

    But they all suck, too.

    Roll credits.

    Glad that's all cleared up.

You are going to struggle to make a case that Stiverne was a top 10 HW at any point in his career. He got a high ranking but never beat anyone his entire career to back up that ranking. In sparring with other top HWs he has always been beaten shitless, so he doesnt belong at that level.

He LOST both fights to Fury. But yes Fury was and is still top 10.

So his only win over a top 10 HW is a 50 year old Cuban grandfather in Ortiz.
However, Ortiz's only 2 good wins are over Hammer and Jennings, and neither of them have ever been top 10. The rest of Ortiz's resume are scrubs.

I'm sure you're really proud of Wilder for KOing an old gatekeeper.

Stiverne was top 10 off the back of 2 prime Arreola wins and Ortiz beat Jennings when he was ranked in the top 10, so yes, he beat a top 10 fighter. Stiverne, Arreola, Jennings and Hammer have all been top 10 contenders at some point.

The absurd hype invites a reaction, but it's important not to make that an overreaction. So this:

I think is the right line. His resume is poor for someone often claimed to be the best HW in the world, but he does have some names on there amongst the Gavern's. The Ortiz wins were very exciting, however past prime the Cuban may have been. Outboxed in each, but gutsy from Wilder to stay in the fight and get the KO.

On Wilder he never beat a top ten ranked heavyweight under the age of 36. My issue with him is his selection of title opponents. It was shockingly bad, outside of Fury. Fury's selection of title opponents as a lineal champion are just as bad, perhaps even worse, outside of Wilder.

    Anyone see the problem here?

There's no case to make.. WBC Champ Stiverne was ranked #2 by Ring when Wilder beat him. Fact.
