Nonsense. From what I saw last night, RJJ will be back dominating the light heavyweight division tomorrow. You're just a doubting Thomas.
I thought it was obvious that Tyson wasn't going to the head after landing body punches,, I believe had Tyson wanted to he'd have blown Roy out in about a minute. I was surprised by 2 things, how good a shape a 54 year old Tyson came in at,,and how I don't think Roy could have finished a good 5 mile run. He was sucking air after 1 round
If he could we would see it. But we won't because it's fantasy. Mike was winded after two minutes fighting another 50+ year old. Young Mike Tyson KO's Wilder in three rnds IMO. Today's Tyson doesn't last one round with any current top 40 Heavyweight. Father Time gets us all if we're lucky enough.
It was a chance to see 2 guys from a past era mix it up a bit. Roy was holding on for life, and Mike was NOT going hard to Roy’s head. They did not try to embarrass each other.
I actually enjoyed it a lot. And thought I wouldnt, but actually I did. It was cool to watch them "fighting", even if they were not fighting. Kind of "for the old times". Like "the expendables" movie... or something similar. It was fun, I liked it.
I bought the ppv and have no regrets. It was entertaining for sure. There's a different kind of buzz in the air when Tyson is fighting on Saturday night. I couldn't miss it.
I thoroughly enjoyed it and I too purchased it. Tyson has an aura about him that I just couldn't miss out on.
No Ruddock was crap v Mike, one handed and didn`t throw as many punches as Wilder threw in his first bout v Fury.
I thought it was great fun. Better than I anticipated. Tyson looked good and those body shots were ripping. RJJ did not enjoy those one bit. There was one moment I think in the 6th or 7th where Tyson clearly hurt RJJ and could have head hunted but just stood there and gave him a moment. It was great to see. I like Tyson talking afterward about wanting to do the rounds and the importance of that as a boxer which he didn't appreciate when he was young.
