Not a fight we need to see. That's the problem with a fight like Jones-Tyson. It makes others want to come back.

There are a lot of good fights that can be made with active fighters. I don't need these sideshows.

There is a huge wanker cold streak in Lewis, you can’t really tell because he’s barely got a personality but he would defo be up for hurting Bowe.

It'll be very bad for boxing just talking about this potential match-up. All you need now is TV companies to start interviewing Bowe about the potential match-up, and boxing will be looked at in bad light as cruel due to the damage it's obviously done to Bowe, and now another boxer wants to inflict more damage. Not good.

Lennox was over the hill. He knew he was past his peak and retired the undisputed champion.

Lewis stops Bowe then, now and anywhere in-between. Different levels, and Lewis has a style advantage.

Very likely, but he's big and can still punch

He was past it, but it's not the point of this guy whom you are quoting. His point is that there is more unfinished business between Lewis and Vitali than there is between Lennox and Bowe. Well, Lennox might want to punish Riddick for all the things he said about him in the last 20 or so years, but lets be real - he is in MUCH better shape and health comparing to Bowe. Beating THIS version of Bowe might well be considered as a legal crime. If Lewis still feels he needs to prove something or just earn a couple of millions, Vitali will always be ready to share the ring with him again. That's the point

Lewis said he'd take the re-match on air and twice to the press. When the WBC ordered the re-match, it was the only belt Lewis had ( He gave up belts to Ruiz and Byrd ) so he quickly retired even though he said he'd do it and there was at least 18 million in it for him.

Lewis are the time was talking like an active fighter, and tired to make a match with Roy Jones and Kirk Johnson.

Yeah, Vitlai lost on cuts in the lead 4-2 on all three cards. Too bad there wasn't a re-match. Boxing would have love it.

Lewis wants to beat up on a guy with severe CTE, wow. Vitali will take your call, Lenny. Fight you in a phone box.

If that’s the case why is Lewis pushing for it? Perhaps it says something about his mental state.

I agree beating bowe now is just pointless he has brain damage. I just never knew vitali activated a rematch clause

You'd think Lewis would want a bout vs the guy who holds the eternal wbc belt if he's so keen?

No, they didn't have rematch clause. Vitali was demanding rematch because he thought referee or doctor "stole" his victory, and Lennox promised him rematch right after the first fight. I think it was right decision for Lennox to retire health-wise, but if he did it to keep his legacy intact, it was wrong - can't see how a loss to prime Vitali in the rematch at the age of 38 could have hurt his legacy
