He was 193 fully clothed with boots on! So lets be generous and say he was 190. Dropping 15 lbs in 9 months is not difficult. Smaller fighters cut that in a day to make weight. It was an excuse, and a poor one that does not hold up to the slightest amount of scrutiny.
I always thought Mike bets him simply for the fact that tyson is just as fast or faster and with more power
I seriously doubt Roy would have entered the ring with Mike,,,if he had he'd have had a better chance with a firing squad. KO 1
Tyson was someone without a proper family. A lost vulnerable child. I wouldn't be surprised at all if Cus gave him roids. Tyson did whatever Cus told him to do. Was Cus some saint who genuinely had Tyson's best interests at heart or did he see another chance at boxing glory? I think the latter. If Tyson was mediocre Cus wouldn't have given him the time of day. If Michael Jackson could give drugs and alcohol to 13 year boys then so could Cus give roids to Tyson.
Roy would've won post John Ruiz and pre-Tarver. Roy's career trajectory was supposed to be fight Holyfield/Tyson and then retire. Roy went down to fight Tarver because of his hubris, it cost him dearly.
Roy would definately have outboxed Tyson but could Tyson have landed that one big one to neutralize everything? Roy knockouts tell you everything about his chin
Did you see tyson as a kid, he was a beast, maybe he was on roids as a teen, who knows.. But the point is mike smashes any version of Roy and anyone that doesn't think so is delusional.
Dropping 15 pounds when your already at 5% bodyfat is extremely difficult when your in your twenties. Doing it in your mid thirties is even more so. You obviously don't know a thing about the topic so why are you so opinionated about it?
Not bothered about 00s versions, Mike would have won a 10 rounder with regular rules on Sat night. Roy would have collected some point deductions also.
