Pro fighters calling out jake paul should be ashamed

Meh..let them. If Jake Paul wants to face a real boxer, who would more than likely KHTFO, go for it. They get paid, he get's KO'd.

But Jake will only face Dancing w/ star D-list wannabe chumps...

 

If the Paul's want to make money from boxing, let them give some dedicated pros a good payday.

 

I'm not a fan of Jake Paul, but he has shown a lot of improvement. I think he now unfortunately beats KSI. Obviously has no business in even challenging seasoned pros. The only good thing that could come out of it all is if some kid gets into boxing because of watching the likes of Jake Paul. Who knows that kid could become the GOAT.

 

Mean you imagine a Paul vs Broner fight.

I was initially against all of the YouTube fighters coming out of the woodwork, but you know what? They changed my mind.

Are they good? No
Do they want to be? Yes
Will they beat any actual boxers? No

If they want to fight alongside actual boxers, on big PPV or high visibility events then so be it. If they can make it entertaining, and attract more eyes to the actual boxers on the card and provide additional exposure then I am all for it. I was the biggest hater before all of this started, but hey I have been entertained. I was a huge Celebrity Deathmatch fan when it aired on MTV, and also enjoyed the celebrity boxing matches MTV would have at their Sports and Music festivals. This really isn't that too far removed from it, so consider my opinion changed on the subject. This isn't hurting boxing, it is only helping it.

Most people are disgruntles about the whole thing because they hate the Paul Brothers, which is a completely normal way to feel. But lets say the celebrities were different? Would you be interested then? What if Jason Momoa fought Gregor Clegane (The Mountain)? Or Stallone fought Dolph Lundgren? Or Eminem vs Nick Cannon? You guys wouldn't watch that? I am just throwing a few out there, but a lot of the hate is stemming from the dislike of the Paul bros.

 

Can't blame them for wanting the paycheck.

You can't blame the lower level guys for challenging him. They put in blood, sweat and tears - got little to no fame- and then this youtube star comes in and gets put on ppv. I'd be pissed too. Besides, who wouldn't want to see him humbled. It's cool he's into boxing, but he's going to naturally get hate just because of his status as a youtube star.

 

I actually like Paul now. Seems to take the sport seriously and wants to learn and get better. I wish him the best and if a pro boxer wants to fight him so be it.

 

These guys have to learn how to promote themselves. Get some personality, get on social media (its free) and start doing something. Take adrian broner for example, he was never even that good but he trash talked his way into big money fights. A big part of his appeal was social media, his twitter/youtube/IG accounts. Genious level marketing.

 

Just a reminder that Joe Joyce started boxing at the age of 22... the same age that Jake Paul started. If Jake continues to improve at his current rate, he is going to start fighting pros in a couple years.
