Jab- fury
Chin- equal
Heart-fury
Movement- fury
Inside- Joshua has a nice uppercut but won’t land it, fury will lean on him all night
Outside- fury
Speed- short burst hand speed aj longevity fury

Fury’s feints will have aj having kittens. I honestly believe fury will stop AJ, might not knock him down but a mercy stoppage late in the fight

I admit, here's one way AJ is all wrong for Fury:

Having the British Establishment on his side and the most investment in his ''brand''', meaning Fury will be behind on the cards before the fight begins. AJ could also have a convenient British Stoppage ref involved, maybe bring back that guy who predicted the round he'd prematurely stop Groves in on FB. This means Fury is under pressure in two ways, first that he can't win a close fight but must dominate to win a close fight. Also, that if he goes down or gets hurt, he could lose the fight after the first flurry AJ half lands when the fight resumes.

Fury could help mitigate this somewhat by demanding the fight take place in the US. But that will probably be difficult due to the UK money.

In general, if Joshua hadn't been dropped and stopped by Ruiz and then spent a rematch scared shtless, then the narrative of AJ taking Fury's power and pressure fighting him etc might have seemed more believable. But Fury hits harder than Ruiz and is rangier and more intimidating, particularly after the way he just dealt with Wilder. So it's hard to believe AJ will try to come at Fury the way his fans believe. But if he does, Fury can move and counterpunch so maybe AJ leaves his temple open again and he joins the dent club with Wilder.

Yes attacking the body exposes the head, but Fury's head is already exposed because his guard is already low. His style is usually to have a low guard blocking body shots and uses head movement to slip shots. He doesn't have a high guard like Joshua where the body is exposed so you don't go down stairs to drop the hands because the hands are already low. Joshua going for the body will just see him hit arms and elbows most of the time. The fact you can't see that baffles me and makes me wonder if you even understand the basics of boxing.

Fury can be got too, he isn't untouchable as your Wlad example shows and countless other examples have shown where he's been dropped. But Joshua's problem is dropping Fury isn't enough he has to be able to finish him because Fury always gets up and we know Joshua is a good finisher but he's also vulnerable when going for the finish as shown vs Whyte and Ruiz and he's susceptible to punching himself out as shown vs Whyte and Wlad. Joshua will at best have 2-3 big attacks in him over the course of a 12 round fight and I don't think that's enough to grind Fury down and stop him or win a decision. Joshua doesn't have the gas tank to sustain the kind of constant pressure round after round the break Fury down and Fury's ability to recover will prevent him being one punch KO'ed as shown by the Wilder fights.

The example I used of counter punching isn't just an isolated case, Fury is a counter puncher like Joshua watch any Fury fight and you'll see him counter punch. Also Joshua like anyone is vulnerable to counters for example Ruiz's entire style is the walk forward draw a lead and counter. Joshua isn't just some iron chinned eat a punch to take a punch type, he can be discourage by counters, like most boxers and even if Fury doesn't counter Fury will still have opportunities on the front foot as I said before Joshua can't sustain attacks he doesn't throw enough to keep Fury on the back foot all fight unless Fury decides to fight that way. You can't ignore the fact Joshua is not a pressure fighter, you're expecting him to suddenly change styles for Fury and gain a gas tank, not happening.

As for comparing Fury to Dychko, well Dychko isn't Fury. Dychko even as an amateur gassed in fights despite the limited rounds, much easier to press a fighter who has the stamina of a chain smoker with stage 3 lung cancer. Also a lot of people thought Dychko beat Joshua at the Olympics though personally I had Joshua edging it.

Joshua will no doubt try and press Fury and attack the body as he has no other options as he's the inferior out fighter. But you have to realise that isn't his natural style, he's a counter puncher and even if he can alter his natural style, which I think he can do as he's a good all round fighter and be all out aggressive he at best has 6-8 rounds fighting that way before he gasses out completely and becomes vulnerable and then Fury just walks him down and KO's him and does what Wlad failed to do when he had a gassed out Joshua in front of him.

How I see this fight is that yes AJ's combo's and simply better boxing skills will allow him to have more success vs Fury than Wilder ever did, AJ is superior to Wilder in most ways, so I agree with you there. But his successes can't be sustained because he can't throw enough to grind Fury down which is what will be required because the Wilder fights showed one punch KOing him isn't going to work because he will always get back up. Joshua will lose a decision, a competitive decision but he loses none the less, the style match up simply doesn't favour him because his style isn't the aggressive, body puncher type that you make him out to be.

So you're calling Aj the dummy right ? Bevause he knows more about about boxing than any other person in this thread and claimed he was going to go for the body. Lol thats funny and why wouldnt Aj be able to go for the body it would be hard but not impossible like you think. Otto wallin literally attacked his body despite furys low guard. Even before the cut. Fury doesnt have some impenetrable guard as a matter of fact even wilder hit furys body from time to time when he isnt a body puncher what so ever. how yoy never saw this baffles me

Why wouldnt he finish off fury. When fury got up from the knock down wilder swung for the stars and missed almost every shot throwing windwills and then clinched with fury. That was stupid of wilder because fury was clearly vulnerable. Thats where aj would brutalize fury and push fury off the clinches and take him out. And people keep using the ruiz example when they dont realize ruiz was a stylistic nightmare for joshua. Ruiz was the shorter fighter which gave him a better center of gravity, he also had faster hands, a shorter reach, and had a better chin. All of those gave ruiz the advantages on the inside so when joshua brawled him he was taking an enormous risk. Brawling fury isnt because fury isnt a great inside fighter. We've seen this time and time again all he does is clinch when a fighter gets on the inside. Whyte is also a good inside fighter. He went toe to toe with derek chisora and beat him twice. Aj also weighted 250 in the wlad fight which slowed him down but if he does punch himself out he could just clinch with fury.
Why not ? And yeah furys might be on the front foot front timw but it wont help him. As a matter of fact it fight help joshua get his stamina back by boxing backwards.

Joshua isnt joe fraizer but he can get on the inside of fury. Its not hard multiple fighters do it. Fury just starts to clinch. Thats why it seems like nobody can beat him. Aj is just going to press him off and bullrush him. And it wouldnt be a risk because furys power comes from him going on the front foot not the backfoot. And you're right about wilder. Joshua cant one punch KO him. He throws combos anyway and when furys hurt and he tried to clinch joshuas going to be hostile and wont let fury recover. He's going to put him down

I'm interested, how do you think AJ will consistently and effectively work the body and disrupt Fury's jab if - as you say - Fury moves much better than him?

I actually agree. It is a 50/50 fight imo. Slightly favour fury but a defeat from joshua wouldnt be a massive shock. Also think wilder would have more luck against joshua than fury.

Furys the best fighter of the three but i doubt he,ll fight joshua the same way as he did wilder. He,ll probably go back to pot shotting...hitting and moving. The problem with that is he doesnt stop many people fighting that way. Which means he,s to stay out the way of joshua for 12 rounds. Doable for fury. But all it could take is joshua catching up to him once in the 12 and it could be fight over. Joshua hits hard enough to hurt you. He,s also a big unit with fastish hands...they,ll be working constantly in camp on cutting off the ring...trying to pin fury down. Furys good enough to avoid that...but dont think he,ll have it his own way like the wilder fight.

Add to that hes not fought in a while. We also dont know when he,ll slow down. Hes bounced back brilliantly from his weight loss but who knows if or when that might take its toll.

Plus more pressure on fury for this one....most people think its a foregone conclusion.

Because wallin pulled it off and he didnt allow fury to get comfortable and establish his reach by constantly coming on the front foot. This is something wlad and wilder couldn't pull off as they stayed on the outside and allowed fury to use his physical advantage.
