I know this threads been done a million times on here but I wouldn’t give Louis anything more than a punchers chance. Joe is badly overrated and there’s no way he can deal with Ali’s constant movement and defense.
Someone like him can't be overrated as long as you keep him within reasonable criteria. I haven't seen many posters calling Louis GOAT, even though he has solid case. There are many, many HWs that are overrated but Louis isn't one of them.
60s Ali by split decision. Joe might floor him, but Ali would outbox him and keep away from his biggest combinations. 70s Ali loses unanimously. He would have gotten hit too much, and again I see Louis flooring him.
Almost nobody has him as the best H2H HW here and given his resume and overall career, it might bs underrating him if anything.
